3k in the bank and 13 trades.

I have 20 playing this week so it is probably a hold for me, unless I can figure out a way to improve my bye situation for the following weeks.

Anyone have any idea if McCreery will get back in? Could flick him to Bianco now

Ended up going

Daniher -> J. Macrae
Highmore -> Bianco

Leaves $24k and 11 trades.

Next week thinking

Flynn -> Reeves
RCD -> Whitfield

Then maybe r14

Murphy -> CCJ

And probably waterman out to someone.

Then maybe r15 bring in danger with last upgrade. Hopefully with Jones, poulter/Bianco and weightman/CCJ on the bench.

These will be probable trades for the Byes if fixtures dont get changed. Dont like the Grundy to CCJ plan that i was thinking of.

R12
Grundy > NN
Berry > Bianco
Atu > Heeney
18 playing (14 premos)

R13
Flynn > Reeves
Short > Whitfield. Whitfield should average about 10 points per game more and has the extra game
18(12)

R14
Poulter/Byrnes > Neale
Highmore > Newcombe (fingers crossed) or CCJ
20(16)

Leaves me 60k and 8 trades to upgrade M8 and flip Grundy back if not happy with NN or Grundy goes off or NN gets his bye moved to R15.

What could possibly go wrong.

Next week
Scott > Reeves
Jordon > Whitfield

Then will grab Danger for Poulter.

Mills, Whitfield, Doc, Daniel, May, AA (Jones, Murphy)
Macrae, Neale, Steele, Laird, Ward, Brayshaw, Taranto, Titch (Bianco, Brocky, Fin)
Gawn, Grundy (Reeves)
Danger, Zorko, Heeney, JZ, Dusty, Philips (CCJ, Treacy)

Should have 4 trades for the run home ..... injuries man.

That's a pretty good recovery from where you were a few weeks ago. Kudos.

I think if the fixture gets changed they will overcompensate us in terms of additional trades or fewer players counting.
I don't think we'll get extra trades, unless the season goes to shit. It will be the absolute last option. Moving a couple of games won't be enough. Rounds with best 18 scorers much more likely.

Cheers brother. You never lose the ability to play this game or coach, but to really have a great season you've gotta get a lot of help of which I haven't lol

Probably 50-100 points lower than most teams with no Oliver/Bont but relatively happy imo

Burn me once, shame on me.

Burn me twice, shame on me.

Burn me a third time, well... probably shame on me again.

Sure, the 37k saved bringing in Merrett instead of Neale could come in handy next week and he might well outscore Neale for the rest of the year. But you need to weight that up against having a small chol'd kent in your team and the shame that comes with that.

Does this count as a double roughy, or is it more of a 1.5?

Started him, traded him, traded him back in, traded him out (injured), now trading him back in.

I'd like to believe that it's worth more than a solo roughy. Think an injury trade prevents a player from being classified as a roughy initially, but post Roughy (A) going into potentially Roughy (B) I think the rules get merkier.

I'd like the expert to give a ruling on the matter Judd_Magic

I don't have any round 13 defenders - bit of an oversight. So he'd actually help with the R14-aggedon in my defence. Also what do you reckon about his calf Here2tellyouwhy. The other option around that price bracket is Houston as well I guess.
Calf good but quad much more sexy :moustache:

I reckon he's good to go. Like Yeo, like Shuey Hurn had plenty of time off to get it right.
Im not sure what our thinking is but IMO due to less load last year from shorter games compounded by a shorter pre season has created a soft tissue injury bubble and West Coast are taking it very cautiously so we get a full squad through to finals and peak late.
Just look at this week. Changed half our side. Now this could be because we expect to play the Dogs next week instead of having our bye or we want to get some players right and give them 20 days off.
This year younger teams like Sydney and Adelaide came flying out the blocks, Dogs and Dees look good to get through the season mostly injury free. Older teams will struggle I reckon. SC teams have no chance.

Double Roughie supreme with extra mayo.

The extra mayo is because you started him :moustache:

Thank you for your sacrifice

OK, OK, slight re-think. I can give Clark a stay of execution and still bring in the guys I want. But he has a week - two max - to impress the HELL out of me and convince me he wants to stay a part of this organisation. Being named on the pine this weekend is not a promising start, Hunter.

He's still a bit underdone imo and we probably can't (don't want to) play all 4 of TMac, Weideman, Jackson & BBB in that forward line without being too top heavy so whoever is in better form out of Weideman and BBB plays from week to week.
No. Just no. Not even an emergency. Had 4 touches in the last VFL game.
So I should just trade his ass?
