Who has Shenton come in for JM? I'm considering him myself.
Sam Gilbert, who is on the LTI list.

He is a tall running defender and with Gilbert out, Gwilt a couple of weeks away and Fisher at least a month away he looks rock solid in terms of JS.

He reminds me of Mark Zanotti ( I like to call him Zanotti 2.0), a rugged rebounding half back with a crazy wild man element that has all the makings of a cult hero :p

I'm surprised more people didn't pick him up last week

I think I will upgrade Jasper Pittard this week. I can upgrade him to any defender. I already have McVeigh, Johnson, Dempster, Suckling and Shaw. What premium defender should I trade in?

I know having Pittard in my team to start with was probably a mistake.

Have Longer wasting $$$ at R3 so was thinking..
Longer--->Smith
Langford--->Jaensch
Might be left without ruck cover for a bit but it leaves me with $144,900 in the bank and I don't have to play Bews on the field this week?
Promised myself I wouldn't trade this week but this seems like a good idea... Right, right??

Can't speak for anyone else but i didn't pick him up last week due to not wanting to trade out Acres for him and only make a 6k profit. With trades getting scarce i thought it would be best to miss the train. Turns out now that if Hartung is sub i'm gonna have to spend an extra 40k on bringing him instead of saving 6k:rolleyes:

What are your thoughts on my trade situation on the previous page TC regarding a Hartung to Shenton trade if Hartung sub again? Do the trade? Or stick tight with Hartung and hope he gets a few more games and get a good cheap mid rookie when they pop up?

I have 13K in the bank. Thinking Langdon to Jaensch and Polec to Shenton
More I think about it, the more I lean towards BB -> NN. NN not exactly setting the world on fire, but I'm just not sure I can trust BB. He's already cost me by being out three weeks (one donut, two currie's (same thing)).

Wouldn't be jumping off Langdon just yet IMO. Polec must go.

I was thinking the time is right for Jaesnch to come into the side, instead of ~30-40K more expensive next week or down the track.

Polec is definitely being traded to Shenton

Jaensch came in for me last week. Have wanted him since Round 4, just had bigger fish to fry.

Are you just gonna copy BB's donut?

Hey guys, after some advice. Not sure what moved to make this round, current team is:

Def: Swallow, McVeigh, Simpson, Bartel, Burgoyne, Langford (McDonald, Aylett)
Mid: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Liberatore, Goddard, Beams, Murphy, Shenton (Hartung, Acres)
Ruck: Sandilands, McEvoy (Currie, Thurlow)
Fwd: Daingerfield, Martin, Parker, Roughead, Higgins, L.Taylor (S.Lloyd, Ambrose)

I have 13 trades and $269k remaining.

I was thinking of going:
Langford> Jaensch
Lloyd> Tex Walker
Would leave 11 trades and $67k but dont know if these are good moves or not.
I'm alsonot sure if it's worth replacing McEvoy or just dealing with another donut til he comes back.

Any feedback appreciated! Cheers

Ive got to weigh up copping BB's donut and having to pay more $ for Jaensch down the line

Fair enough, if you've held Acres this long you may as well stay the course.
If keeping Hartung lets you do the Pav > Gray trade next week I would do that too so maybe give Shenton a miss, unless there is a forward you want to want to get rid of.

Thanks for the advice mate. Really want Gray in for Pav next week. It saves an extra trade too by not going with Shenton. Will just wait until another mid rookie pops up(already looking at O'Brien next week for Acres). Even if Hartung is sub he will still make coin, just not as much.

What are your thoughts on my trade situation from the previous page JM? Stick tight with Hartung if sub? Or off him to Shenton if he cops the vest?

Yeah I'd trade Hartung to Shenton if he's the sub mate.

Hartung wont make much more money after this week if he's the sub again.

I have Halihan and Hartung and was going to go Hartung > Shenton but now that Halihan has been dropped I have no other choice but to go Halihan > Shenton.

I always thought Hartung would get dropped before Halihan. LOL!

Sewell and Hallahan are very similar players. I thought Hallahan would be one of the first dropped when mids started to come back into the side. His time is next year and beyond

Hey JM, are you locking in your trades tonight/tomorrow or wait 'til just before the Hawks game on Saturday in case of late inclusions and would your plans change in Langford happened to be a late in again?

Hmmm, didn't think of that.

I'm not really sure what trades I'd do if Langford was a late in again.

I suppose it depends on whether you want to cop McEvoys donut or sideways to someone like Jacobs for the use of a trade. That's purely your call and whether you're gunning for league wins or overall.

For the other trade I'd be looking at L. Taylor instead of Lloyd to upgrade. Taylor is basically done mooing where as Lloyd may still get back in the side and earn you another $50k. Just my opinion of course.

Who the hell is BB and NN
