Will Howe see out the year in the seniors with more established players set to retrun.... it's smells of Danny Hughes all over again perhaps.
Note also Tom Lynch since his second game...

It might if you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Hughes had been on the rookie list for about 4 years. He was dropped from the rookie list after his initial stint, but they redrafted him after a promise - a long-term injury curtailed his chances. Hughes finally debuted at the age of 23 after he was elevated from the rookie list due to an injury. Melbourne had a heap of injuries at the time. He was a handy forward flanker who could take a grab, but was limited due to his height (186 cms) and ground level play. He wasn't a bad player, but at AFL level he didn't have the tricks to regularly impact the game, or hit the scoreboard. When Dunn Well Done traded him in after 2 games last year he was told it was a very poor choice. From memory, he was told it was unlikely Hughes would get another game. He didn't.

Howe is a different story. He was the club's second round draft pick last year (in the 30's) and being slightly older at 20 his body is ready to go. Howe hits the contest hard, is 190 cms, takes a really good mark, is good at ground level, and has good foot skills. Clearly the club prefers him to Bate and everyone has been super impressed by his first two games. It wouldn't surprise me if he plays every game for the rest of the year.

He's far from a Danny Hughes reincarnate.

Naturally, take this opinion with a grain of salt.

If you have 380K, then why are you still downgrading? :thumbsdown:

You have 3 real keepers in your backline and Heppell, who can probably play as 7th back. That means you need to make 3 or 4 trades in the backline, so stop ****ing downgrading FFS! You need to upgrade those backs as a matter of priority!!!

Adcock is out for 4 or so weeks with a broken finger, so if I were you, I'd be getting rid of him and whichever one of Stanley, Puopolo and Otten has the highest breakeven.

im looking at liam anthony, has had a couple of solid weeks of 100 plus.

also had another 100 before he missed a couple of weeks, not sure if he was dropped or injured.

is he worth a shot for that 6th midfielder. thinking upgrading buckley to him

Harper to Howe
Darling to Pavlich

Going for a league win, playing my biggest threat in rnd 15 when Fremantle plays Gold Coast, so hoping Pavlich can go big!

Mundy > Ablett
Adcock > Duffield

Only playing for league so the multi bye is the reason i went Duff over Enright/Scotland etc

With Adcock's recent shit scores and the fact that him being out means I cop a zero in defence this week im tempted to do Adcock > Suckling.

Thoughts?

Just went with:

J. Selwood -> G. Ablett Jr.
D. Harris -> S. Mitchell

and will hopefully have just enough to upgrade B. Matera to C. Sylvia next week after that 27 has run completely through Colin's scores. That will leave me with just one more premium back to acquire with 8 trades left.

Need some advice actually.

I currently have Krakouer sitting on my pine (unless someone has a bye).
He is good because he is DPP and I can swap with someone in my mids (Including I Smith on the bench) to cover when needed.

But Howe looks good, I am just worried about his JS. Many people think he is good to keep his spot and if this is the case, i'll pocket the coin and be happy.

So do I go

Krak -> Howe
Swallow -> Mitchell
Then
Selwood -> Pendles
Puopolo -> Suckling/Broughton/Duffield

OR
Swallow -> Mitchell
Selwood -> Pendles
and stick with playing 2 of Heppel, Lower, Hibberd and Puopolo in my backs but having Krak as secure reliable cover for Mid/Fwd who has no further byes after this week.

Thoughts?

Want to trade out Stanley, but his average is pretty decent.. how'd he score so well in a trashing like that? Especially since he plays HF right??

Hard to pick who to keep as keepers out of Stanley, Puops, Lower and even Heppell (remember first year kid, will get tired as he's played every game)

and is Knights -> Pav a bit pointless? Averages are quite similar, byes arent a worry for leagues and lock in best 22..

Pavlich is solid, I guess you want him in your mids for the DPP?
Definately better Mids but if you need the DPP link then I would look at Sylvia/Pavlich as two reasonably good options.

Rioli in the fwds, little risky with injuries but could be a good pickup. If you picked him for a reason back yourself in Hawthorn have been scoring well DT wise.

Just made my trades.
OUT: Darling, D Swallow
IN: Howe, S Thompson

Is Darling (now Howe) on your field or bench?

I've had Darling on my field for most of the season and now considering a downgrade to Howe.. Only problem is he'll be on my field for the next couple of weeks due to injury/bye issues.

I'm keeping Heppell as D7 and Stanley as D8 to cover the byes (as he has none left). Plus I think he will average the highest from here on in out of the remaining 3.
