Yeah I know. The price of so many bad starting selections:

Starting Caldwell, Draper, Neale and Meek alone probably tanked my prospects this year. If I had started Ziebell, Gawn, Macrae and Hickey over those guys I would have immediately saved four trades. Also would've meant I could have kept Parish after his Round 2 horror show.

It seems a lot of trades is all id say.
I like the team you are looking to finish with.
If you can cut out a trade or 2 along the way it would be better.
Im stuck with a crappy r14 bye myself.
Im trying not to waste trades for a 1 week score of 40.
Its not worth the trade imo if its just for the 1 week.

I didn’t plan on using 4 trades this week
But Highmore Murphy Mcreery and Rcd have no use anymore to my team imo
All have breakevens near their scoring capacity. So if they’re not gonna help with the byes (all zeros in round 14 for me) or cash flow i see no use for them with 21 playing this week without them.

trading them Opens up my dpp flexibility exactly where I want it to be and I’ll get a team I’ll be very happy with at the end of the day!
Have looked into trading shorty over Heeney but don’t like any of the defenders not playing the round 14 bye. So will get rid of Heeney who might not even play this week according to the Sydney board with the flare up of his ankle again in the last term
Lots to play out yet in regards to what happens with Grundy and of course team selection (Newcombe/reeves etc)

First attempt gives me 19 playing this week and only 12 next week. In a good position to use all 8 trades over the two weeks though.

Leaves me with only F6 to 'finish' my side. However I'm already off Cerra after 2 weeks so may look at pissing him off at M8 soon.

I traded gawn out at this stage last year.
It back fired in my face hard.
Its really hard to find the trades to bring him back in peeps.
My guess would be that 100% of peeps trading him out expect to trade Grundy back in.
I reckon about 30% will actually manage to bring him back in.

If you have NicNat it may be only the one trade needed and only then if score discrepancy warrants the trade, NicNat flying at the moment and will be worth more than Grundy soon.

I will have an extra trade after the byes thanks to the 2 freebies so was happy to pull that trigger last round.

When i picked Holmes, it was the best for under 200k so I could get Whitfield and hopefully play round 14. may go nuff instead

I will get Grundy back in easy via ROB. Got him at 450k and he's already 490k with a BE of 10. He will max at about 530-550k.

Grundy bottoms out after 1-2 games at 550-580k.

If I strike even more luck it's a straight swap with some leftover cash without needing an extra trade.

Still probably a lot of experimentation to be done before making a final decision, but at this stage I'm keen on this ....

Zorko > Titch (Completes mids, uses one of the gifted trades as a sideways to bolster R13 and R14 numbers while saving the other to help complete the team. My final mid was always going to be either Titch or Fyfe and Fyfe's injury has decided it for me)

Byrnes > Whitfield (Completes defence)

Jordon > Bianco (Would much rather have traded Rowe than Jordon, but didn't have the right DPP available)

Zorko will be traded back in as soon as the byes are over.

Gives me 19 on field this week and improves R14 to 14 on field prior to further trades .... 16 on field if Madden and Brockman are recalled.

With the news on the back issue having held him back and the matchup vs our depleted ruck set-up, he was a great option.. If you can get through Rd 14 ok, it's a really clever one. Good stuff.

Injuries have never really been an issue with Kyle Langford. Was a bit of a whipping boy early days and would be the first one dropped.
