Yeah I agree with that, with the proviso that I think a lot of teams will not have 18 scorers, so if I get to 15 scorer's I'm probably down 2 imo.

Below is my team, already done the trades to get Whitfield and Reeves in. Will likely do Warner to Newcombe to free up the cash for May/Short and Jordon to Walsh and Merrett next week with not much money left. One forward upgrade to go with 9 trades left.

I would have 2 available trades left next round so could sideways Cerra or Heeney, but would need a downgrade to get someone I like. Would only consider that if it was a playing rookie. Best case scenario (Madden and Newcombe play round 14) I have 16 playing and am down to 7 trades.

Is it worth burning the trades?

I'm weighing up who to trade out of RCD v Mansell to Bianco.

RCD has probably maxed his price, and if anything could start losing $ this week... However appears to have reasonable JS and could provide M9/M10 cover.

Mansell is unlikely to play again unless Tigers cop injuries in the backline.

I started with Houston in the hope that this would be his true breakout SC year.

Started off well but then he hurt his shoulder and hasn't been the same since. Now I cringe every time I watch him play, great fun Lol

Short has had a role change mainly from Baker I think he will be a 90-95 average for the rest of the year. Houston will probably average the same but you get the points R14 and extra cash.

Nah I don't, I just wanted something more concrete, saying he'll be back in round 15. Missing round 15 as well would be very bad, that's 4 weeks out.

If Lycett only got a 3 match ban and was playing this weekend, I would do Grundy to Lycett 100%. The money would be used to turn somebody like Heeney/Maynard/Brayshaw into Bont or Parish.

But at this stage it's a hold.

North should play Lmac on the wing when he comes back. Good question though. I would not be trading Hall in if I didn't already have him until it's clear that LMac won't steal his role.

RCD only had 3 CBA's on the weekend (and only 58% TOG), he's lost his mid spot with all the big names back.

Is Prestia out long term? If so, that'll help.

I can see him getting dropped soon. Kane Lambert back very soon. Rioli always comes back in the side. If RCD isn't playing a centre bounce mid, he doesn't have much else tbh.

Astbury back before or after the bye as well, so Mansell is probably dead. Whereas RCD will get games, even if it's sporadically.

Because (the flip side of my amateur analysis) avoiding a donut in rd 14 isn't any benefit if you get donuts from rd 21 onwards.

This is why I don't like the extra trades option as the impact of the fixture change is different to different teams but a top 15 gameweek equalises that to a degree. Extra trades means that there will be a good deal of teams (like one in my league) who weren't affected by the change, burnt trades and needed a couple more. I planned byes, got shafted with 4 changes, and the needed trades are making me change my team away from what I planned for.

Just stupid from SC really.

Agree with this 100% SC have made another poor decision. If my 3 Richmond players were available round 14 it's a much smaller problem. I could have even held RCD who I am trading this week.

As you say, this overly punishes coaches who retained trades. But extra trades keeps more people in the game longer, and more clicks = more ad revenue.

In much less tongue in cheek news, i'm glad I went early on CCJ. Big Reeves in this week who is the second coming of Maximus Gawn. 35 hitouts in his second game. Just start him at $600k next season Supercoach and i'll still pick him.

I just need some way to fix this crap. Ideally I end up with Danger and Zorko but not entirely sure on how to make that work $$$ wise. May have to take a punt on a Jezza Cameron/Bailey/Wingard style POD at F6 and just hope they pull out some big ones at the right time.

He's not going to be stealing any roles for a long time. Will play 3-5 games at most.
