Yep, me too.

Fin got 89 minutes of game time tonight for 11 disposals (5 of them turnovers) and 4 tackles. Only 1 handball in Q4.

He panics with the ball and rushes to get rid of it, like a hot potato.

I'm starting to see why the club isn hesitant to play him

I’d play Allan ahead of him. I thought Allan showed some promising glimpses against Freo last week. Apparently he played well in H1 of VFL this arvo, before being pulled for Emerg duties tonight.

Of the 5 listed players in the VFL today, only Allan and Kreuger possibilities. Ryan is a nothing footballer, Demattia's greatest asset is the gift of the gab, while Jiath needs a couple of seasons to develop his skills and body shape. On the injury list, it looks as though only WHE and Reef may come under consideration. It's good that we get a reasonable break and while we shouldn't wish any human suffering, a groin to Gawn, a hammy to Petracca and a hair injury to Fritsch would not go astray. Best case scenario ~ In Hoskin~Elliott, McInnes, Kreuger and Allan. Out ~ Johnson, Macrae, Bytel and Dean. Play Long if he is fit and give Sidebottom a rest, as I am sure he would have been " managed" before this, if the injury list was not so substantial.

OUT: Johnson, Dean (no matchup), Bytel
IN: Kruger, Reef, Hoskin-Elliott

Frampton back to defence. Reef and Kruger forward, with Kruger rucking.
I think you need to add Parker to this list. He had the presence of a school boy when he came on to the ground. Problem is finding a 4th player to include.

I think that's probably fair enough, although the contest vs Bont was unfair to him. Allan could be a better sub option for next week.

Ins: WHE, Reef, Krueger
Outs: Bytel, Johnson, Dean

Get dean out, get Frampton out of the forward line to take Deans spot down back. Reef then comes into the forward line. Krueger and Johnson straight swap. WHE straight swap for Bytel

What about Parker? He has been sub 2 weeks running and needs to play a full game, but surely not at AFL level. Allan may have been found wanting last week, but he seems a likely inclusion.

Then Parker out as sub and Allan in as the sub. But I don’t rate Allan at all. Would much rather Parker as the sub to be honest even though he’s not getting much game time

Don’t know if I can watch this game.
Umpiring is ruining football for me.
I have to agree. I'm surprised there haven't been more comments on the umpiring. The number of frees and 50's given for incidents in which nobody was in any way impeded or held up is appalling. I said to my son tonight, imagine trying to explain these ridiculous rules to a visitor from overseas.

Oh why did that umpire make the man move 50 metres closer to the goal?

The man on the mark moved.

I beg your pardon?

You must stand like a statue on the mark until the ump says you can move and if you take one step before then or move sideways you will be penalized 50 metres.

But the man was nowhere near the kicker. He did not interfere with him in any way.

That's right.

But.....oh don't worry.

The other ones which make my head explode are the arm around the forward's tummy free and the free when a player with the ball head butts the soft belly of his opponent and gets a free for high contact as happened to Bobby Hill who raised both arms in the air and stood still as the Dog's player ducked and then literally shoved his head into Bobby's tummy. This earned him a shot on goal.

That free to Lobb against Moore for "holding" was another shocker. It's so simple. If a defender impedes the forward and prevents him from moving toward the ball that should be a free kick for holding. If the defender's arm momentarily rests on the forward's chest as he balances himself to punch the pill it must be "play on!" Lobb was not prevented from contesting the ball in any way. It has become netball- the defender cannot wrestle in a test of strength and he cannot chop the arms of his opponent. Why they changed that rule I don't know. Lockett, Ablett and Dunstall had no problem marking the pill when chopping arms was legal. It was simply another test of strength. Weaker players could not clunk the pill when a defender's arm swung across them. The powerful forwards had no trouble.

All of these rules were brought in to increase the scoring and no such thing has happened.
