I reckon most people now would be hoping he doesn't debut this year, so he is still rookie priced next year. Form is becoming irresistible though. 26 touches and 3 goals on the weekend. Not bad for a ruckman.

Best case scenario is that he doesn't play this year and gets traded to a new club for next year

Last year I traded out a couple of players with supposedly 3/4 week injuries. Only to find they made a Lazarus-like recovery and only missed a week. I am nervous about trading out Macrae on that basis.

Is it crazy to consider holding Macrae?
Down to 8 trades and need to:
Upgrade D6 or F6 (Sicily swing)
Upgrade M8
Downgrade Holman

Mainly playing for overall so not saving trades for finals.
Macrae is still the top scorer despite the crap score on the weekend. Means if I keep him I’ll have to roll with Ahern/Holman/Giro/Wilson looped to M8. Should be able to manage at least a 60 in that spot. Is that worth saving the trade at this point?

I’m 50/50.

I’m no physio, but 3-4 weeks for a low grade strain does sound excessive. Hurley’s was exactly that & he just missed the 2.

I had fatboy Wines last year and he was incredibly frustrating.

His first half of this season scores are generally what he was like, low ceiling for a premo mid, 85-110 type of scores.

Last 2 weeks he's been a different sort of beast, but i'm not getting sucked in

As I'm now sitting at around 45k rank (was 105k after 3 rounds) I'm only looking at Leagues. I think Wingard & Wines become two real POD's for me, and could turn into League winners or burners.

But he’s dropped $70k and has that 50 in his next 2 games after he finally plays .... might be better to trade out and back in later at an el cheap price ..... if you have the trades ????

He did look a juicy proposition as a Ruck prospect though ..... not the worse decision, but injuries again have hurt his owners

Haven't seen him mentioned, probably for good reason, but am considering.
