Whats happened to hurleys in his last few games? scoring has dropped off, has he been playing a different role? he represents great value and upside for 460k atm.

Playing more accountable role l beileve.
I would rather Tom Stewart but l think hes alittle more expensive and he has the bye.

Had a read through the Melbourne "Changes" thread for this week. Despite scoring well from a SC perspective, a few of them calling for Smith to be dropped. For those that still have him, a number also calling for Trac to be dropped too.

Doodee to De Goey locked. Fielding 20 if McLean & T Smith play. Really really wanted to go Nank to Grundy this week too but looks like waiting til next week is more prudent as he may be cheaper and l would avoid going early on Redman/Smith.

On the hand, l get another player this round and more importantly l finally get Grundy....... gotta admit my heart is being yanked in this direction.

Also tossing up bringing in another premo and set myself up for a one trade Grundy upgrade next week. Brayshaw and Holman to Wines & Redman + $170k for Nank Grundy.

Or perhaps upgrade elsewhere and use 2 trades next week to get Grundy??

Would wait on Nank and upgrade Holman... Get rooks off the field first. JKelly? Or our boy Treloar.

J Smith (def/ mid), Redman (def). Both have played only one game though.

Sier (Pies) might get a game this week with Wells out for the year.

I annoyingly have Ridley and Heron down back so it’s not even worth a trade. Need a midfield rookie to come on desperately.

Sier is a mid and highly rated by the pies. He's been tearing it up in the VFL. Surprised he hasn't been given a go yet. The risk is though that he plays one game and gets dropped again. They do have a number coming back from injury in the next few weeks.

Team boards are so reactionary. One person on there is wanting 6 changes after just one loss which is just absurd. Casey had the bye last week, but the week before no one really put their hand up for selection in the win against VFL Magpies. If there are going to be changes this week it will be minimal. Perhaps bring in an extra def tall vs Port. Frost probably.

Agree completely regarding reactionary, but the need for an extra tall is, I think, the reason why folk are calling for Smith to go. Some have also suggested he be moved to a flank, which could help his scoring too. I doubt he gets dropped.

•Macrae > Oliver

•Holman>Treloar (opted for him over Wines as I think he'll more consistent on the run home?)

•Brayshaw>Ahern

Would like to bring in Battle (he looks great), although think Ahern's dpp will be more important.

Leaves me with $159.5k, 9 trades and one upgrade to make in either in defence or fwd (via Sicily Dpp), given that JJK isn't cooked.
If he looks no good I'll trade him out this week over Holman.

Thinking either TMac, Hurley, or maybe a POD like Andrews or Gunston. Next week ill probably double downgrade Murphy and ZGL to Redman and JSmith (via McLean) or get one and my final premo.

All up will leave me with 6 trades by round 16 and extra cash to make some Luxury upgrades, maybe NN>Grundy and Savage>??.

Would love to know any thoughts or suggestions.

Am I better of swinging Sicily forward and bringing in Lloyd/Andrews

OR do I bring in a forward such as Buddy/Menengola/JDG

I'm currently dealing with the same issue in the coming week.
I thinking it might be best to swing Sicily forward to open up the DPP swing with TMac which could prove super useful later on.
And that way you're probably avoiding getting a real yo-yo scoring KPPs like Buddy. Opting for more proven consistent Defenders like Lloyd, Andrews, Ryan, or even Hurley.

Only trades I can do focus on the backline. I wanted to wait to see if Mihocek is named, but only have Ridley to downgrade. Won't know Collingwood teams in time before the Bombers game.
Have just done Murphy down to Redman.
Then Doedee to McGovern. Was between the Gov and Hurley. Will upgrade Austin to Hurley next week now most likely.
Just need to consider if risking bringing Mihocek in is worth it. Will have 17 playing if he gets named and 16 if I don't pull the trigger or he gets dropped.
