So thinking this week...

•Macrae > Oliver

•Holman>Treloar (opted for him over Wines as I think he'll more consistent on the run home?)

•Brayshaw>Ahern

Would like to bring in Battle (he looks great), although think Ahern's dpp will be more important.

Leaves me with $159.5k, 9 trades and one upgrade to make in either in defence or fwd (via Sicily Dpp), given that JJK isn't cooked.
If he looks no good I'll trade him out this week over Holman.

Thinking either TMac, Hurley, or maybe a POD like Andrews or Gunston. Next week ill probably double downgrade Murphy and ZGL to Redman and JSmith (via McLean) or get one and my final premo.

You can grab J Battle next week instead of J Smith if preferable. I'm not sure Smith will manage to hold his spot where as the Saints would opt to keep playing Battle if he sustains his form.

Haha, Yeah forgot they had the Bye this week, so yeah will have to how Redman and Smith go this week. Looks like JJK will be out for a couple with a fracture. Not sure whether to hold or trade him and keep Holman for another week now.

Doedee > Battle (via Sicily)
Coffield > Treloar for my final midfield upgrade.

The third pending trade is Lycett > Grundy. I have the bank available to do so, however Lycett has a BE of 67 and Grundy BE of 148.

I am only playing for League wins and am fairly certain I will have my opponent's measure this week as he has not planned well for the bye.

Is it more beneficial to hold off one week?
FWIW I will have 9 trades left after bringing in Grundy with no real upgrades required.

No one's talking about Cal Ward as a POD. Only owned by 1% of teams. With the Macrae trade essentially a free hit to whoever you like, many seem to be going for Clarry Oliver, but I think PODs have to be the way to climb the rankings at this stage of the year.

Ward gives me $130k cash in the bank, has a 3-Rd average of 128, and has a very favourable next month based on past performances against said clubs:

I know Coniglio is back soon but Ward has 8 tons from 12 matches. I'll take that risk.

Don't mind this..
He finished off last year really strong too. Great POD.
But with Kelly and Cogs to take points from him, I personally am leaning towards Clarry or Treloar for Macrae. Really depends on how podish the rest of your team is I guess. :)

Anyone taking a punt on Jsmith or ready Redman..?
Mycheck on the bubble but unsure on js and scoring.
I'm considering Redman as I don't like Mihocek or Smith's JS.

I'm stuck with Mutch and Ridley too though and only look through rose-coloured glasses so don't listen to me

Is Redman playing that role Ridley had when he played?

Heard Mutch is in the mix to return good numbers in the VFL last week.

Yeah similar but Redman plays a bit more of a less finger-pointy Goddard role and Ridley plays a bit more of a less dribble-kicky Hurley role.

Mutch was having some mystery migraine issues so not sure it would be wise to fly him over to Perth and from reports wasn't on the plane.

FWIW Dylan Clarke has flown over.

Yeah haven't even considered NOT trading Joel Smith in. Has very good JS with Goodwin basically stating he'll be Lever's replacement for the season and looks a better scorer imo.

So hard to pick between them and Battle. Great if you've got the luxury of waiting till they're picked for their 3rd game. Hopefully makes the choice easier. But if not, I reckon JSmith is the best bet out of those 2. :)

Is that a direct quote? First I've heard of it. If true, you're right he will be a must have.

What about ed curnow?
Bit up and down (86 - 148 scores) but 5rd avg 113

jaydyn short anybody take a look

It's no coincidence that Short's scoring went up from Rd10 onwards. Which just happened to coincide with Houli getting injured early in the game. SC site says Houli due back in Rd15.

450k seems overs for a guy who'll prob go back to averaging 76 next week

8 games with Houli in the team = 76.1
5 games without Houli = 95.2
