Trades Round 15 Trades

Ford to Maric
Johnson to DCam

One spot to left to upgrade.
Wardlaw, Humphrey and Tarryn Thomas all with the potential to be involved. Might be the best chance to being Dawson into defence next week and finish my side.

Rather use all my trades than have an injured player in my 22. There's nothing to loop, he can't run. I'll be shocked if he isn't rested for a long period of time, or sent in for surgery very soon. The fact that he went and saw a specialist last week says there's some discussion about his issue.
Yeh i m definitely trading Steele. He has too many things wrong with him to be viable for another 10 weeks.

This week trading Steele to Cameron, Ford to Maric

Keeping Briggs, he potentially has another $130k to make, and i might even trade out Roma instead of him.

It means Fyfe /Windhager will be my M8 in round 16, which kinda sucks but i want my final team as premium as possible. If i can get a good M8 and maybe Butters and or Sicily into my final team delaying my 'completed' team willl hopefully be worth it.

Tossing up between 2 options with 10 trades left.

Option 1
M. Gawn + B. Humphrey + M. Johnson > R. Laird + D. Cameron + O. Mullin
Not optimal for this week but it means I’ll have a full-premium team.

Option 2
M. Gawn + E. Ford > D. Cameron + I. Maric
This option will let me squeeze a bit more from Humphrey and Johnson and upgrade next week instead and be full-premium a week later.

Pretty set on these trades until the teams drop later in the week, but could go any of Serong/N.Anderson, or J Sinclair instead of the local Parish.

Leaves me with this veritable dumpster fire, 7 trades, and six eighth’s of **** all in ze puswah.

Ashcroft the only rookie left to upgrade, but i think I will need to get Fyfe off the ground before he gets injured as a priority. Could most likely one up/one down next week to facilitate that, as I will have plenty of $ on the bench to work with, but no one to downgrade to.

Any and all suggestions welcomed, be they ridiculous or otherwise.

Definitely option 2, Mullin unlikely to play, maybe ever again this year.

Numbers look like I can do:

Cincotta & Ford
for
D Cameron & Maric

I think that only gets me to 17 playing, though. Less if Johnson is out.

That'd leave me with Tarryn Thomas as only non-premo on field (counting the Cheezel as a premo defender), with 9 trades and Ginbey/Seamus to find that last premo.

Goal is to finish top 1% and try to win a league or two on the way.

How your trade going? Where you at after the 2 this week?

Ford > Maric
Wardlaw > Harrison
Angwin > Lohmann
Cincotta > Dawson

This only just gets me to 18 players for the week. 9 trades, $60k and 2 upgrades still to do. Weddle, Ginbey & Seamus will provide the cash to do this.

Cameron is fine for F6 and great ruck cover.

If Mullins is back, I will boost to trade Weddle for him and go Johnson to Cerra or Butters next week.
Really hoping Mullins gets a good run at it with the tiring Cats.

If all this works (rarely does) I will have 7 trades left, a dodgy bench (Fyfe as cover) and one mid space to fill which hopefully be a straight swap of Humphrey to Mills in a few weeks.

Ford - Lohmann
Wardlaw - Dev Robertson
Cincotta - D Cam via Sheldrick.

1 upgrade to go. 6 trades. 🤮🤮
Could also do:
Ford - Maric
Cincotta - D Cam

Will leave me with 19 max this week but 7 trades, 1 upgrade required.

Hmmmm.

Due to being conservative earlier in the season I can afford to use 3 trades and still have 7 left for the run home.
I like the look of this side with only 1 position left to upgrade, however it involves making an aggressive move on Tarryn Thomas who I literally just brought in.

Ford, Johnson and Thomas
For
Dawson, Sheldrick and Maric

7 trades and $57k left in the bank.

Also gives me 20 playing this week which is massive considering how much a lot of coaches seem to be struggling to get to 18.

Strong looking side.

Might be worth doing that if you’ll have that many trades left since Dawson will absolutely be top 6, and Thomas is always a risk of injury/suspension.

For the reason of having 20 this week with these trades I’d personally recommend that

Thanks. I wasn't considering trading TT at all, then just experimented with one scenario which was the one I've ended up with here.

Can hold Cameron and Humphrey for the time being until it becomes obvious which one needs to traded to Jackson Macrae first.

Any chance that a journo will ask a useful question for a change, and ask Nicks if Keays will tag Daicos, or if he'll keep playing midfield?

Why wouldn't he tag Daicos? He's ideally suited to tag him, as he can follow him into the midfield unlike some of the others that have tried to tag Little Nicky.

Then he's not a viable option this week. If the midfield role isn't back, can't pick him up. Lots are trading him in.

With this current bench, which downgrade would you do? Need to factor in long-term bench cover, and DPP.

1687142035051.png

1) Ford to Maric (retain the bench M/F DPP with Angwin; Maric is long-term F7 cover)
($622,800 to spend)

2) Angwin to Maric (lose the bench M/F DPP (still have it with Dunks, Taranto, etc though); Ford is long-term F7 option)
($560,600 to spend)

3) Ford to Windhager (retain the bench M/F DPP with Angwin, Windhager is long-term M and F cover)
($522,400 to spend)

4) Johnson to Windhager (retain the bench M/F/DPP with Angwin; Windhager is long-term M and F cover)
($547,400 to spend)

Some Q's I need to answer:
Is having M/F DPP swing on your bench important?
Is Maric good enough F7 cover?
Is Windhager good enough to justify spending less on my last premo?
Is Ford or Johnson better to hold long-term?

It depends on how you are proposing to spend the money but, given you have DPP cover via Fyfe, I'd go with option 1 and bring in the best premium you can.

Last boost used! Was gonna trade Worpel and Hardwick but with them having the Suns this week they could cash in. Hardwick in particular with no Sic.

Ashcroft/Soligo/Wardlaw/Weddle for Titch/Dawson/Sheldrick/Maric

Gotta take the opportunity to bring Dawson while he’s this cheap. Titch will be a nice POD for the run home, Sheldrick comes at a bit of a higher price but he has JS, and Maric will get quite a few games but has JS.

Already have Windhager.

Leaves me with 19 playing for this week, 5 trades for the run home and $122k in the bank. Making my post bye side look like

Naicos
Lloyd
Wilkie
Ryan
Young
Hardwick

Laird
Cerra
Rowell
Macrae
Dawson
Titch
Green
Worpel

RoMa
Briggs

Dunks
TT
Rozee
Gulden
Jez Cameron
Owens
