Yep, Gardiner is the one who changed his line to initiate contact.
I agree

Hipwood never deviates from his line and is sprinting at close to full pace

It's Gardiner who clearly tries to block.

It's just an instinctive reaction to push him away and the umpire happens to get in the way

Hipwood has absolutely nothing to gain from some devious intent to take out the ump.

If Christian has that vision, it's just mind boggling that he thinks its a matter for the tribunal.

Christian loves to penalise interstate players. He does what the loudest voices in the Victorian media shout about. Been doing it for years.

Nine things we learned: Ryder's 2022 vintage is as good as any

6. Brisbane has a new backline architect

Keidean Coleman put himself on the radar of opposition fans in last year's finals series, and the 22-year-old Lion has now announced himself as a bona fide star of the future. Coleman played arguably the best of his 32 games for the Lions against the Western Bulldogs on Thursday night, stepping up in the absence of backline general Daniel Rich after he left early with a hamstring strain. 'Kiddy' finished with a polished 24 disposals at 83 per cent efficiency, gaining 551m and driving Brisbane's attack from its defensive 50 time after time. - Michael Whiting

Just finished watching the replay and of the players who didn't get coaches votes I thought, Starcevich, Answerth, Adams, McCarthy and Ah Chee were really good, Jarrod Berry unlucky to only get 1 vote, thought he was superb.

I thought Answerth’s defensive efforts were outstanding. He disposal still a concern.

There was one attacking disposal by foot from Answerth I think in the 3rd quarter where he went diagonally into the centre square to Jarrod Berry, Jarrod dropped what was a pretty simple mark which then resulted in a Bulldogs goal... I wonder if that is classified as a clanger or efficient disposal by Noah or it's a clanger from Jarrod for dropping a simple mark.

Shouldn't be a cross against Noah in that particular case IMO.

I cursed him at the game for the kick. But it ended up a beautiful kick that Bez just flat out dropped and resulted in a goal.
The reason why I was cursing was because there were 2 free out on the wing.

Berry would have got a clanger

At guess

Fagan

Cameron 5, Coleman 4, Liberatore 3, Andrews 2, Berry 1

Beveridge

Cameron 5, Coleman 4 , Neale 3, McCluggage 2, Liberatore 1

I reckon Fages was a certainty to give Jerry a vote which kind of narrows the options for the distribution of votes between Neale, Libba, Andrews and Clug

Got to admit, it’s pretty funny a week on to see Dogs supporters still psychologically struggling with not getting the umpiring all their way vs us.

Some of them want the AFL to retrospectively overturn a couple of goals that came from frees. No mention of the McInerney robbery. Privilege breeds entitlement.

Now they know how fans of other clubs have felt after playing the Dogs every time since 2016.

It's a strange kind of alternative reality when supporters of a footy club can't deal with their team not ALWAYS winning the free kick count.

They lost it 15-18 FFS!

Minus 3 !!!!

Royal Commission required!!

We wuz robbed!!

Call the police!

LOL!!!!
