Hawthorn vs. Collingwood (MCG) (N)
Collingwood:
Brodie Grundy had marginally the better of the duel with Todd Goldstein and his 133 in a side which was given a fair old touch-up (in the Harvey Weinstein sense of the word) underlines his scoring output and ceiling this year. With his stellar 174 last week and the Gawndog-inflicted 84 having dropped out of the rolling average, he’ll easily achieve his 87 BE and set you back a cool 666k, the number of the SC BEAST.
Adam Treloar knocked up getting touches and rewarded coaches who got him at a bargain basement price of 504-508k recently. Treloar is a streaky player who can go on runs like this. If you think h can keep it up, 530k (BE 60) is still affordable and potentially OK bang for buck.

Scott Pendlebury, off his tucker of late, gave his owners better output with a 111. He’s now down to 503k with a BE of 113, a much more appealing price point than at his peak, he might bottom out at around 500k next week. Probably no longer SC-relevant if MID-only next year, nostalgia buffs might be keen to get the band together one last time on the run home this year.
Taylor Adams seems to be perpetually two weeks away and we’re almost past the point where could be of use to us this year, unless as a cheap injury replacement after 1-2 games back.
Jordan De Goey was averaging 90 on the season but, starved of supply, he scored 47. His output is always liable to fluctuate. His price has plummeted to 431k (after reaching 487k recently) and with a BE of 138, he’ll probably shed another 25k-odd this week. Could be value thereafter, but the Tomahawk is more appealing and likely cheaper.
Jack Crisp , realistically more a Fantasy pick, profited from seeing a lot of ball and followed up last week’s 109 with a solid 99. At 458k, you could go him, but as an owner I’d say look to try to free up a little more and look at a Stewart or Rich type.
Darcy Moore proved his worth for those who fielded him as a DPP swinger in their FWD / DEF line to cover an out with a timely century in a side well beaten on the night.
Hawthorn:
Ricky Henderson put in a fairly uninspiring 68 to end his recent hot streak. He’s priced at 530k and while he’s been a great revival story, there are other value options going around.
Jaeger O’Meara, who has bottomed out at 430k, enjoyed not copping as much attention as in recent weeks. His BE is low and if you need a low-price MID option (M8/M9), he might be worth a look, just be realistic in your expectations, he’s more the 100-105 bracket.
James Sicily was mercifully played down back and scored semi-respectably at 83 while arguing with an umpire, setting two dwarves on fire, accusing a old-age pensioner in a wheelchair of having no work ethic and just generally endearing himself to the community at large. At 435k and with his BE still at 135, he’ll probably bottom out at 410k.
Alastair Clarkson reacts to news that he won’t be able to pick SicDawg up at sub-400k as a D6 looper.
Young Dylan Moore didn’t get much TOG, which is pretty weird for a kid with a decent tank. He put up a 46, which is only relevant in terms of the price increase for those looking to cash him in soon. If you’ve got him on-field, it can only be due to copping injuries. At 261k and with a BE of 46, he might make it to about 267k or so, 270 at the outside.
The Worpedo was again solid if unspectacular. He hasn’t let anyone down this year and has been a decent starting pick.
