Worth trying but IMO you need plenty of trades to take the risk. If Darcy doesn't average 95+ you will need to use another 2 trades to upgrade him at some point.

Swans with no credible ruckman
Nank - who could be burnt out by then with the long season
Bellchambers - who is a spud

Not out of the realms of possibility that Darcy could get to that 100 pt average.

And let's look at Gawn's opponents

I know Gawn is the best ruck in the comp but being out for 3 months of the season is a tough ask to come back from and his list of possible ruck opponents is far tougher than what Darcy has to face.

Plus in my case I will be much better off points wise as I am going to do the following:

Witts and Mountford to Darcy and Zerrett

The combo of Darcy and Zerrett are going to score way more points than the combo of Witts and Mountford.

You should be worried Nelso, you're thinking like me, I don't even like thinking like me.

Dunno how long Scooter is out for, but his BE is over 100 now due to that 44, so as I want Jelwood once he bottoms out in a few weeks I'll cash in on Scooter this week even if he plays just so he doesn't lose cash and use Greenwood at M8.

Leaves 215k left for a one trade upgrade to Jelwood hopefully using Ryan (DPP Witherden/Hibberd down back), or if I can't do it then surely Parsons can do it and this is where Delucas DPP is useful even if I lose that fwd DPP from midfield.

If Ryan or Parsons can't do it then FMSC....

I can do Fyfe > Neale with 2k remaining after bringing in Witherden for Lloyd (GWS)

Should I do it? Will leave me with 5 trades.

Leaves me with Steele and Greenwood at F5/F6 but I'm kinda content with them for now to be honest.

Parsons has 1 more price rise in him will then send in for slaughter. Which will allow me to turn Greenwood into any of the top forwards I don't have. (Yeo, Heeney, Billings).

I'd get the Freo ruckman...for the Freo ruckman. Will make a heap of cash and you can downgrade him before finals and have some extra cash to blow on upgrading some underperforming premos.

I think Witherden is too good to miss, so thinking maybe Parsons > Witherden VIA Greenwood, also gives me 180k.

Don't know about the 2nd trade, tossing up Nank > Gawn. Or even waiting another week or 2 and going Greenwood > Gawn VIA Nank which would leave Nank at F7 and have him as ruck cover. Or could upgrade Greenwood to a Sloane type in a week or 2?

Could also bring in a premo mid and wait on Gawn for another week. Would have to bench Newman (Or 2e since he is averaging less)

Before the week Nank to Gawn was a lock, but with his 100 I think he stays. Thinking Gawn to Hannan, move Billings to the Mids, swing Ryder forward with $70K left. However this leaves me short to attend to the issue of Fyfe & S.Selwood. Eying off J. Selwood & Parker as potential upgrades. Worried about going into finals with to few trades left......

Should I just hold?
