Is freezing Tassie the place to bring back guus from soft tissue injuries?
Is freezing Tassie likely to be noticeably worse then freezing Melbourne?

I went to the West Coast game, it was worse than most of the Tassie games I've been to.

Wouldn't it be a beautiful thing to see Birchall play. The lost and forgotten premiership backman. What a narrative! The stuff of Clarkson's resolve...believe in people and give them a chance. The blood and guts and resolve to get a man back in the picture.
The story isn't anymore about coming and winning form top four...for a four time premiership coach..the struggles and challenges are deeper and more challenging to come from much farther far back and to show I'm the best and we are Hawthorn.

Be slightly surprised if either Conor gets dropped based on Clarko's press conference last week. Either way of that happening, he certainly sees them as our long term future. That statement was definitely made by him during the after match.

Think they'll send Birchall even if as an emergency, they always like 2 send a tassie boy a day or so early if possible.

I actually made the same comment (re Tassie) myself earlier.

On reflection, if a person returning from injury is dependent on weather and conditions then they really shouldn't be playing either way.

Hope we can continue to build on the form we've had against the reigning grand finalists the last couple weeks. Would be disappointing to see us revert back to dropping games against teams outside the 8.

It’s in Tassie.

We don’t put on our best showings down there.

Prepare for three and half quarters of dour, mistake-riddled football.

So we've played pretty much...all our games in Tassie then?

I was more referring to the endeavour and heart we've shown. The whole "we're behind at the moment but we're going to keep on fighting and outlast our opponent" attitude we've been playing with. The execution of skills have been a bit scratchy this season and as we know the games at Launceston tend to make them worse. But there's nothing stopping us from playing out games with the knowledge that if we don't let up on our opponent that they will eventually cave. Building that belief could snowball into something special.

Now who's acting like it's the threepeat years!

As much as I wanted a high draft pick, I think it’s important to keep winning and shut up all the haters. More importantly, we need to prove that we are still a destination club in order to attract good players. Can’t help but think that Coniglio is watching our progress which may or may not influence his imminent decision

Couldn’t agree more. Geelong has attracted Dangerfield and Dollhouse and will put in a fair bid for Brad Hill because they have kept on winning. We have had similar or better success in the past attracting high quality (omeara, Mitchell, Wingard, Scully). Coniglio will not come to a dud side. Winning attitudes are a must and Clarko is way way way smarter (trust me he’s smarter) than the rest of us on this blog. He knows Hawthorn can’t afford to look like the aints, Carltank, or the dees come seasons end.

They have had Menegola out since Round 7. He is back this week or the next. Some running power to return still for them.
