Box Hill clings onto a spot in the top six by its fingernails after seeing the Sharks almost double the Hawks' score last weekend in Southport. The Hawks weren't ever really in the contest at any stage during the game and the margin blew out in the last quarter as Southport put its foot down to win by 53 points. Finn Maginness and Henry Hustwaite both battled hard for Box Hill, having 28 and 25 disposals respectively, but the Hawks could not find a consistent avenue to goal with only Andreas Stefanakis kicking multiple goals (two) for Box Hill during the game.

For its part, North Melbourne led the Swans comfortably for most of the game, at one stage getting its lead out to 30 points in the third quarter, only to suffer a major scare in the final quarter when the Swans briefly hit the front late in the final quarter. However, a goal to Cooper Harvey (son of Brent) in the 28th minute sealed the win for the Kangaroos, preserving their hopes of a surge to the finals in the latter stages of the VFL season. The Kangaroos sit in 11th position on the VFL ladder, outside the top 10 on percentage from Frankston. The Hawks are sixth on the ladder at the moment, ahead of the Richmond Tigers and Williamstown on percentage, while they are a game ahead of the Suns (ninth) and two games clear of Frankston and North Melbourne.

After a slow start to the season, North Melbourne have won four from their last five games, their only loss a 34 point loss to Footscray at the end of June, while the Hawks have won three from their last five (wins over the Giants, Richmond and Geelong, and losses to Southport and Port Melbourne).

As usual, the match will be streamed via the afl.com.au website and 3WBC 94.1FM will have a radio broadcast for those not in front of their computers.

Teams to be named later.

Fantastic crumb from Stefanakis gets our first for the second quarter, giving us a five point lead.

McCabe been impactful since coming on.

McCabe already has signs that he just seems to read the play well and run to good places. Also think he's team mates have over looked him a couple of times when he's been in good position as well.

Harry Morrison with a brilliant mark under the conditions.
