đź’Ż he is our worst recruit for what we paid

And still 2years to go on 900k

And then have to watch him laughing and smiling after the game yesterday
Laughing & smiling all the way to a nice easy cruisy retirement in a mediocre team full of guys that are full of "effort" but f*CK all skill, knowing full well that he could have made a difference, but won't, because he's the paid up "cream" of a good team, and not the type to lift a team through any measure of self initiative.
Actually...y'know what...**** it, chuck him in the leadership group with the rest (Wilkie and Sinc's excluded...for now)

If Hill was doing that and don't doubt it, there is the leadership problem right there. Effectively our season is almost over and as RTB said 9 months wasted. Players should be pretty angry and frustrated with their performance not cutting up with the team that just bitch slapped us.
RTB presser showed he was clearly emotional and frustrated....maybe there was more to Hill moving to North than first thought.

Cultural change starts at the top and works downwards. Coaches and key staff have moved on next it is the senior leader player group.

On another thought we have played shit for 6 weeks and we are still 6th. This shows that there are a lot of teams struggling as well and supporters spitting their collective dummies not just us.

Essendon Doggies and Crows spring to mind. Carlton 4 weeks ago were ready to sack coach captain and board....look at them now.

We are a middle road team and that could be anywhere for 5th to 15th. There is not much POD between that group.

We need to get more players with hunger to play games rather than get gifted games who have better skills and willingness to sacrifice.

More DMac types less Gresh.

Cheers I'm going to go on a hunt for it now haha. Maybe immediately following the decision to give him time away.

Leaders have really let us down this year on and off field
Are Steele - Ross - Membrey all in leadership group?

You are bang on about RTB's comments towards Membrey, look at how he looks directly down the lens when he says it would be good as a leader of the club to come back and help out the young forwards

Must think he's having a pissy moan about a bit of soreness rather than being injured. Unless he's pressuring the fitness staff.

What are “GF types”? Zaine Cordy played in a grand final two years ago - do you mean him?

Now your'e being silly, a bit like saying Stuart Dew played in a GF and asking if is he a GF type.

Mind you I recon Dewy would get a game in our forward line at the moment.

Two fundamental problems which have been obviously the case for years now:

  • Not enough true mids
  • Not enough true leaders

If I could be bothered I could go through my posts from maybe 2017 or 2018 and find exactly the same complaints. All the trades were a mistake, we needed to keep drafting, and specifically keep drafting mids. Couldn't have left us in a worse position.

Same thing for 10 years. Mediocre midfield.

Interesting how Coops got on the scoreboard a few times but didn't rate a mention by the Boss either, sought of confirms the rumours he's already had his papers stamped.

Watched a bit of Carlton. Acres is playing good footy these days from that. You can't believe we traded him out and the rest for Hill, he would add more than Hill and he's got years left. Hill is over 30 and looks like he's losing his skills. Once the run goes he's going to be unplayable. We replaced that generation with limited GOPs and paid to do it. Amazing. Thanks Lethers.
Who would have seen this coming :D

The thing that hurts so much with him is his kicking. He turns the ball over sooo often. It just takes the wind out of your sails when he plays like that. I honestly think we're a better team without him in it. Maybe we should chuck him in the forward pocket for the year. He was diabolically bad yesterday.

He'd get a run in our midfield. Or a waddle at least.

Perhaps he'd had an injection in the sore knee. His kicking was diabolical.

Honestly makes me sick each week watching us let shit footballers like rory atkins look like Gary Ablett ****ing jnr

Just to offer a slightly different perspective:

Re Membrey - only he would know how his knee really feels - maybe it still isn’t right and he just wouldn’t add much playing at the moment?

Re Hill - maybe his knee isn’t right but he played anyway to help out and that explains his abysmal kicking yesterday?

Who knows? Just speculating.

Yet another experienced player who didn't put his body in at contests yesterday, and when he got the ball, just gave it to the Suns

And if that's the case he shouldn't have been out there.
Bit like this idea of King potentially coming back sooner. Is it let's make them play through the pain?
It isn't the 90s anymore.

Lol surprise, people are bemoaning not enough true mids.
Many on here, gringo, mowman, stav to name a few have been banging on about our lack.of mids since 2012.
We never ever learn.

It's hard to reconcile half the stuff you post. We've been banging on about our trading and drafting for a decade, Gringo notably, yet you spend half the time potting him. There are unlocked doors in windy places that swing less with the wind (that's my best gringo attempt, i suck).

What’s the point of saying “GF players” if it doesn’t include players who played in a GF? What’s the definition?

Just better hope this doesn't bite us on the arse.

Last time Ross made an example of someone they left and we got nothing.

I don't think he'd get us much anyway.

We got 34 and 51 for Bruce, Membrey probably gets us similar value.

We gave Hickey pick 60 and future 4th rounder for 39 and WCEs future 4th.

I don't think our players are rated very highly outside of the club.
