Norm Smith Medallist
It’s only the second quarter but good to see the Hawks beating Collingwood at the moment. Hope the Magpies miss the finals lol.

Wilkie, Battle, Howard, Webster, Sinclair and Nas is just about a set and forget back line. Add Marshall in the ruck and it all then centres around our mids and forward set up.We need to do everything in our power to convince Battle stay. Him along with Wilkie and Howard when all fully fit is actually a great defensive unit.
Think he might have been told to use his hands at every opportunity & not kick - much safer option!I think the difference for Jones was he really looked for close in options to dish off to instead of trying to take on the tackler.
Yep. Good game from Jones. Didn’t try and take on too much and played pretty well. Thought he was done, but maybe not.Great to win in a big way, but hard to gauge against a POS team like WCE. Happy to see Tim look full of energy in slotting 5 goals, lots of good efforts and I thought Jones did a good job in the midfield and probably not ready to write him off yet. We just need to sort out that disposal going forward- still a big team problem. Let's hope the form carries on to next week.
I get it that Wet Toast aren't much chop, but we are looking quite threatening in the forwardline of late. Wood, Skunk, Owens and Sharman compliment each other pretty well.
There was two 69 point wins against Hawthorn in that time, but I thought it was interesting because we very rarely win by a lot.It certainly had felt like awhile, but I never would've guessed over 7 years.
People forget that Ross Lyon's game plan, when executed well, can result in big wins (especially against lowly opposition that can't match our pressure). In 2009, we had 9 wins over 45 points.
When we played teams that matched our pressure, that's when things would get tight and scoring would dry up. But our 2009 side knew how to punish the lower teams.
Certainly feels like we're following the 2009 Ross Lyon playbook to the letter.
I feel bad for talking about King still, but our other forwards as well as our midfielders are so aware of King when he is there. When he misses, we are multidimensional up there. I don't believe the notion that we just don't give him decent service - we just need to learn how to play with him in the team.King seems to be the bad luck charm. We definitely look more mobile and defensive with out him. That said the whole thing has been unsettled all year without continuity to Butler, Snag and King who have all missed significant amounts of games.
As I said before, we look good on paper but the reality looks like a mess most weeks. West Coast were pretty uncompetitive in the second half so hard to really gauge anything but it's definitely nice watching high scoring footy for a change.
What are you talking about? The GF is nine weeks away. What's that though, 4 weeks? Hardly a bold statement by them.
Sincs can still do some dumb things at times , has a habit of kicking into the man on the mark, but yes we need more skilled playersNot really fussed about the result. I’m another year of exploration dissapointed that we saw Garcia not get a full game. Schoey dropped when we are out of finals contention. Perfect game for them. Anyways the boys played great.
Sincs, Steele, skunk, Wilkie.
How do we get another 3 Sinclair’s
That would be terrible if we are using a 15 year old style of play.It certainly had felt like awhile, but I never would've guessed over 7 years.

It's a forum. Not a let's agree with everything the club and Joffa says cultDespite what some on here say, Brad Hill has been a tremendous recruit for us, not only in his play but what he brings to the team and the club.
About time some pull their heads in with their constant criticism of us getting Hill.

last time Lyon was confident of Henrys injury he was out for 6 weeksRoss confident no ligament damage for Henry. Fingers crossed.
So you say it's a forum and not just agree with me then goes ahead and agrees with me.It's a forum. Not a let's agree with everything the club and Joffa says cult
I like Brad Hill...think he's been very good the last couple of years, and as you've noted, very good for the indigenous boys and team in general, but I do think the club was obsessed and transfixed on getting a big signing over the practicalities of the list at the time. There were other things that needed more tending too, than bringing Brad Hill over from Freo at any cost.
that by the by though, he's now a 100+ game player for the Saints.
Well done to him.
I was wondering the same thing TS.Who was that bald headed fella who looked like Zak Jones? He went alright.
