Playing a rick the benefit shows with Dixon’s goal kicking. He had more in the tank for better kicking at goal and played deeper.

Amazing, we have been unlucky with weather against % teams this year. Ahh well if we keep winning and we secure our destiny.

Could still be top two if we beat pies and west coast.
I would have thought a Ruck would be more important, regardless if he was named Rick or Paddy.

Microwave was quiet but he couldn't do much being stuck on the bench all game.

Yeah real team player is our Microwave, you hardly notice him humming around the ground.

He’s got a reputation for overheating things at times so they just used him on and off in 30 second bursts to keep things warm.

Said he was going to get a few tins into himself after the game - look out, sparks might fly.

;)

Great win. Held strong in first half then crushed them in second half. They kicked one goal after half time. Everyone played solid, except Bonner, he was horrendous.
  • Polec was huge all game
  • Dixon played like a man possessed
  • Pittard was actually really solid
  • Our defence looks so much strong with Jonas there
  • Ryder wasn't the greatest, lost to Trengove, but not fazed by that
  • Ebert had a huge game, 3rd best behind Polec and Dixon for me

That was a really professional performance. Coming off a disappointing couple of weeks, super tough conditions - we just needed to grind it out and that's exactly what we did.

First half we mostly dominated but couldn't put it on the scoreboard. They got a bunch of fortunate frees/50s that gave them gift shots at goal which they converted. We could easily have been 6 goals to 1 up at half time but it was all square.

Third quarter was excellent but we lost all momentum in the last 10 or so minutes when Ryder took a rest. The Bulldogs got repeat inside 50s but just couldn't score. Last quarter the game opened up and we were all over them.

Thought we had a lot of good players.

Dixon plays the game we've been waiting for him to play all year. Commanding presence and finished off his good work.

Polec was superb from start to finish, always getting into the right spots to receive and using the ball to advantage.

Wingard was excellent.

TJ a welcome inclusion, didn't miss a beat.

Houston played very well.

Watts didn't have a huge game but I thought he was important in some key passages of play, especially the ground ball win in the lead up to Wingard's goal.

Farrell outmatched for size but kept cracking in and had a good last quarter once the game opened up a bit.

The conditions actually forced us to play in the way we play our best. Contested footy, no backwards or sideways kicking, it suited our midfield bulls.

Ebert back in some form, Dixon too massive for any opponent, Polec cleaner than he has been. Clurey and Jonas impassable.

Overall, we were pretty clean-handling considering the conditions, and played to the conditions. Very good win, and a game clear in 4th.

Can we have more of Eleni umpiring our games please. She deserves praise for her outstanding umpiring display today.
Amazing what a bit of common sense and not being either a show pony or an egotistical ****wit means for your decision making.

A pretty good win in the end and after the last fortnight I think the players would have taken a lot of confidence out of that game.

Dixon in goal kicking form is going to be critical in September.

Motlop's aggression was always directed at players that played for and received a free kick, the Bulldogs have a reputation for it and it must have been irking him.
We all seemed to get into the duckers today.
