Got my Naismith ultimate round 1 point chase backup plan ready :eggplant:

Can't believe i've actually been talked into considering turfing Big Nose Bont. He's the only part of this i don't like, but he allows more rookie spuds off field.

Want to give Roberton another chance but haven’t been following Saints closely enough . Will Ben Long intercepting and running off half back leave Roberton playing lock down defender all year ? Saints supporters, anyone ?

He’s my D1...what was I thinking? Byrne-Jones got a 114 if you’re looking for a Port defender in that price range also ownership of 0.7% vs 29.4% for Houston.

Amazing that DBJ averaged near 90 last season, is coming into his prime and is still only 1% ownership.

I'm bringing him in with a restructure this week.

Thoughts or advice on this one? Have been flat out of late, only just looking at this again today between meetings!

Good to go other than maybe an extra rook or two. Nothing to worry about.
You already have McInerney Georgiades Sturt et al which is more than most people have from Rnd 1
Perhaps try to upgrade a rook in def to someone like Doedee this week to get a rook off the field. Isnt vital though coz a good rook may even score similar to Doedee and Roberton types.
Everyone is going to blow their load this week and most will not have the cash for next week. If Naismith for instance is out this week, few will have the cash to pick him up next week when he's on the bubble without sacrificing someone to get him. Would be nice to upgrade a dropped rook for Naismith. Wont know much till teams are out. He's a very expensive cash cow though and most will choose to put that cash on the field this week.
Maybe Out BZT/Starcevich, move Williams back to def bench, IN Cameron at R3. Good chance Williams gets a gig v soon so i'd hold him.
There will be a number of new rooks named so many choices about to happen.

Hello Team, As a novice supercoacher should i trade in Bennell or McInerney this week? Thinking that there is another week before prices are adjusted? Any advice appreciated. tx!

^ If DBJ turns into a gun, it's hardly going to be the end of the world at that price. Despite his nice round 1 score.

If his average drops off 5-10 points, you're going to feel like a dickhead owning him.

Nothing really to gain from the selection IMO, might as well wait and see how he goes and bring him in as a POD later if you're that keen.

McInerney this week (if named), you get another week to look at Bennell and see if he can actually stay on the paddock for 4 qtrs.

Change of plans again. All but locked in these trades:

Brayshaw > Wingard
BZT > Rivers
Bedford > Cameron
Narkle > Viney

Then ill see if i can get rid of Cavarra or Z.Guthrie pending selection. Ideally S.Hill comes in for Guthrie but not sure Hill will be picked. I have Brander to swing back/forward so i have a few options with regards to rookies. I'm keeping Bont and not going to chase Naismith even if he is named.

Why are people trading out bont is he injured?
Nope. They just think that he will be tagged for the next few rounds and thus will lose a fair bit of value. Im sticking fat though. He is the KOTD king (when you disregard all ruckmen) and im happy enough that he can break a tag this round. Against De Boer he will likely struggle and maybe against Hewitt too but even with the generous amount of trades this season i dont like the idea of trading a premium out and then trying to get them back later. I admit there is some merit in doing that this season but i think the gun would have to score a fair bit less than 76 and be set to lose a massive amount of cash for me to consider doing the old out-and-back-in manouevre. If Bont scores a 120 or more this week, those that traded him might feel a bit silly, especially if their replacement scores less than Bont.

We didnt play Carlisle or Battle rd1 so Robbo had to play CHB.

One should come in this week which will free Robbo up, with Wilkie more likely to be an accountable 3rd defender than the loose interceptor player.
