Happy for constable to stay in another game. Needs to perform this week though.

Got no idea why farrar was dropped though.

They mentioned on the telecast that he was roaming up the ground a bit im last half. Seemed a bit odd.

I’m ok with Chol being dropped. He has potential to score goals in a number of ways but seems to just want to duck out the back. Coaching staff should have him leading at the ball and jumping into the pack. When he starts to do this he can come back in.

I think we needed to send a message to Chol early. He could get away with coasting last year as our forward line was built around him. That’s not going to fly with King back and at least you know what you are going to get from Levi, even if he is on his last legs. Hopefully he responds and doesn’t mope in the twos.

I cannot understand for the life of me, however, what Macpherson brings to this backline that puts him above Farrar in the pecking order? Truly baffling and such a uniquely Stuart Dew decision. Swap those two, and Powell in for Constable next week with Lemmens waiting in the wings, and we are looking good.

Farrar was moved up the ground into the forward line for spacing reasons after they took Levi off the ground.

I think Farrar is behind Ben Long in that they play very similar roles, DMac just has Will Powell's spot at the moment.

We need better ball users out of defense, Weller will 100% help that.

You would think Farrar is the better ball user out out of him and MacPherson. Maybe DMac is taking Lemmens’ role for now.

Would Farrar not be behind Uwland if he's moving up the ground?
This week will tell me if Uwland keeps a spot when the others return. For me, he was ok, especially for a 1st gamer, but don’t think he is a walk up start by any stretch. Give him 2-3 games then swap him out is what I think will happen, unless he can play better than Powell and Lemmens.

A wing spot is also a possibility if Ellis is still not right.

I do like Farrar though.

I rate Farrar, he just needs a head on his shoulders at some points.
He lacks a bit of composure and it's probably the 1 thing that's really holding him back.

Ellis 100% replaces Ellijah on the wing when he's fit. Ellijah probably moves forward and potentially takes Flanders spot.

Flanders really has to start showing in the next month why he deserves a spot in the best 22.

Yeah, I haven’t loved Hollands on the wing so far. I’ll give him some time, but he more a forward 50 player to me.

I personally would move hollands to half back. Easy position for players like him to play gives him a starting point on his player and only needs to beat his player at the ball. Also will pick up some easy uncontested football which will build his confidence. Surely he's a better option out of defence than dmac or Constable

Who is Daniel MacPherson

Who is going tomorrow? I'm gonna attend.
I'll be watching on TV but hoping the Vic army shows up again and we're treated to some crowd noise when our boys score. I know the boys really appreciate it when the Vic army shows up and I'm sure it's gotten us over the line a few times (the Richmond game at Marvel comes to mind). The Essendon fans will be up and about because they beat up on a VFL. standard team last week but I'm hoping we can bring them back to earth and get our season back on track.

Can't afford an 0-2 start. I'm nervous now that the pre-season hype is completely gone, but surely it won't be a performance worse than last week.... right?

GAME DAY!

I'm feeling optimistic. I feel like a lot of the hard work put in over the preseason is going to shine through today and we'll be pleasantly surprised with what we see after a poor start last week. This is go time for us!
