Such a big NM win they played their song twice

Pardon the intrusion but you should be proud of that effort. Absolute guts

If not for some missed opportunities and some dodgy umpiring, you might well have come away with a famous win.

As for Norf......pffftt.....pathetic!!

To be fair, in that instance McGovern was on Goldstein. Larkey's direct opponent was Jamieson who let him get a clear run and jump over Hurn.

McGovern was right to give him a serve.
Larkey had 5 goals at that point . If only we had a million dollar key defender to play on him .

Even if he kicked the snag, which he totally should have, as it's legit what he's paid to do, and an under 12's player could've kicked it...

This miss just summed up his horrible horrible afternoon. I'm sure he's aware of just how bad he was, but an out of confidence Darling isn't what we want.

He won't play that bad again. Needed to get that out of his system after no pre season games (yes by his own choice).

Is he overpaid? Absolutely. Just like Kelly and McGovern (who played very well today after how long being shit?).

It's a 23 round season. He'll have plenty of time to win you over, but blaming him for today's loss is silly. It was clearly Ainsworths fault.

Seems like Jack Darling 'did his own research' rather that listen to Simmos gameplan today.

I think Hurn took Larkey. McGovern was saying he needed to come over the top as the big man. Quie right too as there were eagles players already crumbing. he didn’t berate him but just indicated he should have come in. Best time to give the advice

Playing off an injury too, not fully fit and in a forward line without so much as a resting ruckman for support.

He's not reason we lost, the AFL/Covid is.

He did the right thing, against his wishes, I hope he has a great year. Don't understand the angst.

Great effort by the team to make a contest out of farce.

Some better accuracy in front of goal and not so many questionable 50m calls against and we could have pinched an unbelievable result.

The match should never have been allowed to go ahead. But the league has no interest in integrity, so we are now 0-2 after arguably the two easiest matches in the fixture.

At the very least we found out further confirmation that many of the members that are currently on the senior list are inferior to players making the rounds in the WAFL.

If Darling had your hunger for the contest he would have kicked 5.

Yeah see I must be one of the odd ones out who thinks our squad is good enough to contend this year. Today was a travesty.
Nah not with the amount of injuries and COVID striking the club..thats going to take weeks to rectify ..to get it back to normal maybe by the halfway point of the season... and by then our season is gone

I am not expecting much to be honest.. I will amazed if we crack 7-8 wins ..bottom four most likely

just embrace it and enjoy it ...get the high draft pick at the end of the year ...reset and have a crack again in a few years time
