Subiaco don't actually play at Subiaco Oval anymore. Haven't done for a few years now so I'm not sure how much football TDL would have played there outside of finals. Jetta is from Swan Districts, so would have only played on Subi in finals.

Oh right? Fair enough. I did look it up and I had found a website that suggested they still played there but must have been old news.

I guess I more meant at least they have probably played their before, especially given the dimensions of the playing surface.

Should suit Jetta and TDL anyway as both are good at creating space for themselves.

How good were his two knock-ons over his head? Now that his nerves have settled, I hope they stick with him for the rest of the year.

Brilliant. I am very impressed by him. He is quick, and is an intelligent footballer. Has a beautiful set shot too.

Might have gotten ourselves a bargain.

On form we're a chance, but Freo look like they are back to their old tricks of being great at home and crap on the road. They are a different team over there
We also need to keep our fingers crossed that Sandliands remains out for the game. I didn't see their game, but he's so crucial to that side it's almost ridiculous. He rucks, kicks goals, floats back in defense, they work their kick-ins around him...He could win the Brownlow this year...

LOL at those that have said that either of Shaw or Mattner will be dropped.

You are aware we will be playing on the biggest ground in the AFL this week and will desperately need both of their running capacity to over come what is our achillies heel in pace on the ball.

Both of them could have gone touchless yesterday and they would not have been dropped this week.

As changes Smith comes straight in if fit and it will probably be for Jack due to suspension.

If LRT does not play, then Richards remains.

Rohan if not injured may also be a chance due to the wide open spaces suiting him as a roaming forward.

Was in Sydney yesterday and manged to see my first reserves game for the year. There is absolutely no way Veszpremi will be seniors any time soon based on what I saw yesterday, just has no tank what so ever at present and would be likely to blow up on the bid Subi oval and float away. I can wee why people are impressed with Sam Reid, looks very promising and I very much like the look of Dlyan McNeil as well.

last time we played freo Smith went onto Hill and kept him to 2 possesions til almost the end of the 3rd but then he got a few cheapies. If Smith is fit he will be straight back in and straight onto Hill

Hill was also destroyed yesterday by Rawlings it was 39 possies to 7 so he is in a form slump but remember Hill interstae on small grounds is totally differednt proposition to Hill @Subi on wide open spaces.

IN:Smith
Out: Jack (Susp?) if not, Shaw.

Was a high bump on Suckling (i think) from Jack. I'm a bit undecided on it. Knowing how inconsistent the MRP has been he may well get off with nothing or could get 2 weeks.

Be a bloody shame to see Jack go... Played a great game, no malice in the bump. He was just going in hard like he had all day. Pretty unlucky really imo.

I reckon while Shaw was shocking AGAIN this week I think he'll be pretty important at Subi. Hopefully LRT will be back to replace Teddy (even though I didn't mind some of the things Teddy did against the Hawks). If Smith is right then he also has to come straight back in imo. The most important INs & OUTs aren't in our team though guys & gals... The biggest (literally) IN would be Sandilands. Hopefully for us he decides to take next week off too.

Haha, i didn't notice that matchup at all.

The thing with Shaw is that he is ought to be in the side to provide some run and deliver the ball. His decision making and disposal has been really ordinary this year. Turning the ball over far too easily and often. His place ought to be in question, he was surely one of the guys Roosy was talking about earlier in the week when he claimed that some seniors players deserved to be going back to the 2's with Meredith.

Harvey said after the game Sandi could have played against us but they wanted to make sure he was okay, my take on his comments was that given it was a foot injury and given the nature of Etihad's surface he didn't want to risk him potentially hurting it on a shifting surface and being doubtful for finals. He is likely to return I would imagine.

While they lost to us by 9 goals, they really weren't 9 goals bad in terms of getting the ball, even without Sandi they won the clearances convincingly and the inside 50s was 56 vs 53 so they had a lot of supply, they just torched the ball a lot, would say uncharacteristically for them this year.

I think they will still be tough opposition at home.

cheers....

JACK BUMP.....Make of that what you will

with so many key players already missing, i dont think we can do this without Jack unfortuneately, we will struggle without him in an already difficult challenge. He was on fire against the Hawks. So please footy gods, grant us a break.
