We can win this GO BLOODS.

More likely than not they'll let us win by resting players just to deny hawthorn

In
Leo Barry
Ryan Brabazon (?)

Out
Jarrad McVeigh
Jared Crouch (?)

If Crouch is injured i'd like to see Brabazon get a few more games as i really do think Brabazon has the ability to make it as a AFL player. Leo Barry is a obvious choice as this is his last season and i do believe in club loyalty.

Maaty O'Dwyer.

2 weeks ago in the twos this game with McVegh, Bird and Buchanan all injured he's going to have to go the engine room on the inside playing against the likes of Ablett, Bartel, Selwood and Corey...

In a game that means something he's going to learn a treat regardless of outcome.

Evening all, surely Mal & Leaping would be the first two inns, in form and senior players. If we went the way of a super junior what about Taylor Gilchrist, yes I know he is a rookie but he can be promoted due to the number of long term injured we have, yes ?, no?. Not sure if I have heard this correctly but he is a bit lightly framed. Being built like a net curtain might be a bit risky against Geeeeelong, some big boys amongst that lot.

they wont play Taylor now...not with ressies on the brink of loosing finals
and also hes a bit of a skinny minny not bad or anything but a good pre season after a very good 1st year at the swans no doubt he will get promoted and play next year

I'm trying to think who we have in our team who can play the tagger role of crouch. Say what you want about Taggers, but I love 'em. Taggers are game changers and though Kizza did a good job on Cousins yesterday, he won't be able to shut down the Cats the way Crouch could, and we'll need him up front.

If the Cats have weakness at the moment it's their defence. Over the Course of this season they went from 2nd best defence to 15th at one point based on a % of conversions inside 50 by their opposition. We won't win this in defence as much as we will win it up front. We need a defence which will keep Geelong a bit more than honest and then an offence that will leave them crying.

Yes that is his achilles being a bit see through, he can always lodge at the Fu clan house in the off season, Mrs Fu can fatten him up. MMMMMMMMMMM prawn crackers:thumbsu:

Kirk, Jude, Jack, Ablett and Smith can all play tagging roles if required. That seems plenty to me. Kirk to Bartel, Jude to Selwood, Jack to Ablett, Ablett to Corey, Smith to Stokes.

Some of our mids have got to attack.

I want them to focus on ensuring they are tagging Jude, Also it's tempting to get Jack to do to ablett what he did to cousins, hurt on the rebound, but yeah it's harder.

McVeigh is a huge loss as he does both a shut down role and an attacking role at the same time... He was playing very very well on the weekend before the injury....

Personally I am not sure of our chances will have to wait until I see the teams... If Geelong regain Scarlett and co its going to be very very hard to win... But if they are still out and S Johnson is also out our chances are greatly improved...

Just ducked over to their board, apparently Mooney, Rooke, Milburn, Stokes and Johnson are all possible outs, Johnson and Milburn for sure, the other three very sore. No certainty Taylor and Scarlett will be back either.

WOW, maybe Ablett out too. If the actual staff are anything like the supporters, they're taking a leaf out of the Saints book and resting stars because they think this'll be a bruising game.

Pleaaaaaase.

Though I do want to see Ablett and co. life, so whatever.

I want Mooney to play hes an absolute Dud, hes the biggest ******** going around in the AFL!

Buuut if I had the choice between seeing Taylor, Scarlett, Ablett, Stokes, Mooney, Rooke, Chapman, Milburn, and S. Johnson live, or us winning the game, I know I'd certainly pick the latter. :)

Gonna find it pretty hard to study this weekend! Adelaide vs Hawks, going for Adelaide for us to have the double chance, Port vs Carlton, going for Carlton, and Saints vs Bombers going for the Sainters!

Wow... they would seemingly be ripe for the picking but whether we can capitalise? I'm reluctant to say we can, everyone thought the Hawks were going to knock off the Saints in Launceston, though I think the Cats are looking shakier than St. Kilda and our past couple of games have been pretty good. Should be interesting! I have to say though that the Geelong team that does take the field on Saturday will have a point to prove. They won't be satisfied with one flag from three seasons and NEED to do something to show they're still there.

Wow. I had heard Milburn and Wojcinski were likely outs but if Stokes, Mooney and Johnson are out that would be awesome. GAblett will play i think.
Taylor and Scarlett are the ones i hope stay out the most. If they are Jesse, Goodesy and Magic can have field days up front. Whichever forward plays on Lonergan will towel him up. He is not up to playing KPD, he was made to look good playing forward when he kicked goals when he was being delivered silver service by the Cats midfield but he is not a defender.
