Pierce played a better game tonight than Longer has played in his entire career, literally, and Hickey has for three years.
I’d be sacking the whole coaching department for their collective inability to at least let him have a good run at it in front of our other two failed options.

VFL match payments is what I've heard. Could be total crap though.

Doubt that'd be why he hasn't played, even if it's true. I'd say it's more likely that he'd been on the list since 2013 for one game and not many standout performances in the 2's. He was rookied out of safety and only played due to necessity.

He also said that it could be fixed quickly. Our skills have been sub par for years, not sure it's going to turn around any time soon.

Not a lot positives. Looking like a very bleak future, but shout out to Lewis Pierce 18 disposals, 27 hitouts, 98 Supercoach points. Great game.

He'll be delisted & we'll sign Longer to $4m/5yr deal if AR get's his way..

Pierce was a shining light & is a more viable option than Longer..
Both Pierce & Marshall should be persevered with for the last few games..
Could trade both Hickey/Longer out if we secure Lycett..

Lycett/Pierce/Marshall moving forward overhauls our ruck division, currently one of the poorest in the comp..
There's holes ever, but is exaggerated due to game style & lack of spread..
Our skill level resembles the early 80's, that's how bad we're going..

I mean he’s decent at reviewing the game but so are most posters here.

The issue is he can’t react during games and some of our decisions re players roles and selection are horrible.

Had enough chances need a change, sad for Richo but we we are really hiring at the moment.

Pierce's first quarter was better than anything I can recall from Longer or Hickey since Hickey's game Round 1 2016. How it's taken this long to try him, and that if Hickey hadn't gotten injured he likely never would have been tried, beggars belief. If he's not back next season they've lost me.

- Very odd to see Long, Sinclair and even Armitage get inside mid time before Paton who based on a cursory glance of Hamill's write-ups has played there a fair bit. I say Armitage as all of his starts came midway through the last when the game was already gone - a perfect time to trial the debutant
- With Dunstan out and Armitage back it looked like Richo didn't trust others much, as St Kilda had 3 players with 20 or more inside mids starts for the match vs. Essendon's 1 (Merrett) and only 3 players with more than 7 inside mid starts compared to Essendon's 6. OTTOMH, I believe this is the least attendances for the 4th inside mid in analysed matches with 25 or more bounces this season.

Good morning Campainers,

Plenty to be sad about but some good performances. Steele, Ross and Billing when playing midfield.

But the one I wanted to highlight was Lonie. Has kicked 6.4 the last 3 weeks and is pressuring really well. The thing that stuck with me though was he missed a tacked, but the strength as he swung his arm through forced the error. I feel one more pre-season in the gym and he will start to be physically up to the challenge.

I think we lack quality small forwards on the list, but I’m happy with how both Long and Lonie are progressing.

Tbh I don't watch any of his pressers or member vids. I don't believe any of it or that Cho can fix anything.
