Autopsy Round 21: Hawks plough the GWS snowflakes

Clarko is an absolute master at getting the best out of the guys he is responsible for. If he was in charge on the battlefield in either of the great wars he would have an exhibition at the Canberra War Memorial dedicated to him.

Me and another bloke stayed behind til almost midnight to say thank you as the boys got on the team bus.
Clarko was last man out and took the time to have a quick chat and shake his hand.
Thanks boys and thanks Clarko for an awesome display tonight.

I love our club

What a cold, cold, cold, freezing night at the footy.
I’m never been so cold at a game, snow, hail, sleet, rain just amazingly bad.

Lots of Hawk supporters, lots of strong support.

1. It was such a great team effort. Really hard to name outstanding players when they were all so good, the youngsters were good, not picking anyone out, they’re all just kids

2. Special mention to Shaun Burgoyne, such a calm settling influence, how can this guy keep playing so well for so many years.

3. Hey, GWS, you’re nobodies, no one cares, even if you win the premiership, you’re just a bunch of irrelevant, anonymous, faceless, unknown ghosts. And no one knows who you are.

4. Please don’t play any more Hawks games in Canberra, such a boring, soulless place.

Snow at the footy, what the fu**?

I disagree......whilst Canberra might be all of that, the atmosphere tonight was fantastic. Such a great vibe, no doubt because of the number of Hawks fans that made it to the game. Our fan base is not renowned for travelling, so to see so many Hawks fans at the game was so pleasing.
Well done to those that made the trip, and to those Canberra based Hawkers that came out in what can only be termed atrocious conditions.

And as for the snow, it just made for an even more interesting evening. Not to many can say they have played AFL footy in the snow

I have also had a couple

I've had double that. She stated she would only play for Melbourne to the AFL and the media. So White Anglo Saxon and not a lesbian perfect poster girl for the AFL as one of the 'stars' of suburban footy about to go national.

AFL announces a few weeks later after her tantrum, all teams get two marquee players and in the closed lottery we've already worked out Melbourne picks first. Seriously? That is how she ended up there.

Phillips for example is a class above her or anyone tbh if she was ten years younger she's basically be Gordon Coventry/Bunton/Reynolds to be honest given the infancy or women's footy I reckon she's probably Vic Cumberland given her age starting footy but take your pick out of those, but yes Daisy is very good. It was draft manipulation by her to get to Melbourne. It shouldn't have been allowed, it also wouldn't have been allowed if she was male.

It was wrong.

So she's a bad commentator? Keep in mind Wayne Carey has a job.

I actually said she was very good tonight. My problem with her was how she got to Melbourne.
BTW Wayne is clueless agree, good footballer, smarter than say gary Snr, but never gonna coach a team.
If Noah? Anderson decided he wanted Hawthorn he can't do that or St.Kilda for that matter. She was allowed to do that. They can't. Apparently no girls can do that anymore either.

That's my issue, nothing else.

My point was her past transgressions aren't anywhere near Carey's. I thought the talent spoke for itself.

It does ******* piss me off that even at the end of the game the commentators are going on about how bad GWS are instead of how good we are.

This. It's amazing how they don't seem to notice the common denominator when Hawthorn dominate teams and just blame it on the other team playing like shit.

Hey, without any disrespect to you, Canberra is a boring, soulless place.
A place full of politicians and public servants, need I say more?

And don’t mention the snow ...

.

You cause me no offence
I have only been here 6 months, and certainly not from these parts.
3 years and I will be gone.....never to return.

Hope yo otherwise enjoyed your visit.
Safe travels

Ceglar heard to remark to Leon Cameron after the match:

"Dawson & Mumford? Haha, that's cute... So like when do you guys want me to start??"

*dramatisation, may not have happened...*

So the media can't use the MCG as an excuse this time. My bet is they'll blame it on the "arctic conditions" and how we're used to them training at Waverley.

Truth is, we're just building a bloody amazing team/list that are inconsistent but getting better over time.
Whereas GWS has been gifted with some the best young talent in the land and still can’t make it work.
