We haven’t played yet, don’t be so confident.Dixon and Ryder injured. Bloody we have been kissed on the dick for next week
Melbourne have a very tough run home. Hawthorn is the team we are battling with for 4thGo Swans. A close win to them today v Melbourne will be perfect. One that doesnt improve their percentage though!!!
We have a pretty safe percentage buffer over the Swans and can afford to be equal with them on points. We cant possibly catch Melbourne on percentage so need to stay a game ahead of them.

They play Sydney away in the last round. You never know.Yeah cannot see the hawks dropping from 4th. Fingers crossed

Any chance we overtake them on percentage?
As it stands right now, we need to add 47 points to our score to go past them.Any chance we overtake them on percentage?
I think it will be tough, especially with Saint Kilda next week as I can see that being a 50 point thumping. Really need them to drop a game. Alternatively, if Melbourne lose to Sydney today, it opens up to take over GWS in round 23 if Melbourne knock them off. All assuming we win the next 2 of course. Personally, I think if we win both games, there is a good chance that we will finish 4th. If the above happened and Hawthorn drop a game, we could still finish 3rd.As it stands right now, we need to add 47 points to our score to go past them.
So, working roughly:
-We beat Port by 20, they beat St Kilda by 20
-They beat Sydney by 10, we would need to beat Freo by around 60
So it’s doable, but there’s a fair chance their winning margins are better than that - plus we play before them in round 23 so they’ll know exactly how many they need to win by.
Agree. St Kilda have shown they are capable though; they played a great game against Melbourne not that long ago and were competitive against GWS away as well. They also put up a decent effort against the Hawks in Tassie early in the year. That may just be me hoping but we'll see.I think it will be tough, especially with Saint Kilda next week as I can see that being a 50 point thumping. Really need them to drop a game. I think ideally, Sydney winning today would give them the confidence to beat either GWS or hawthorn, both of which would guarantee a top 4 finish if we win both games. Also knocks Melbourne out of the top 4 race.Agree. Then there's also this chance: even if Melbourne win their next two, that means they will have beaten West Coast and we could potentially catch them if they also lose to Brisbane at the Gabba (not an gimme game by any stretch). We're currently 82 points behind WC on percentage so there's also a chance we catch them - it only requires modest 20-point results.
So yes if we win both our games there are plenty of avenues that allow us into 4th.
Is that good for us that wce win?
Gee GWS are good, more injuries than us. Finally getting it together.
Will give the finals a push, if not us, hope it is them. Sad for Heath though. Collingwood curse reaching out?
