Solid win, breaking Carlton is always fun.

Watching Lycett go down revealed the best part of the quadrangle of doom!

We have a fully match fit back up ruckman if the worst happens! Not a lot of teams can boast that.

I was livid at our crap start, and if we want to win finals we can’t allow a start like that or the season will be a waste.

Having said that a massive 95 point win is a real boost for the team, our ladder position % and for our fans who have wanted a win like that for ages.

Great effort from Alir early and Marshall to get us on the board twice when we were trying our hardest not to score. Our midfield really turned up the heat and we went to town on them once we woke up.

Wines. - solid game. Just kinda cruising the last few weeks but cruising for wines is super high level.

Boak - massive effort to get us going tonight. Put the team on his back and said let’s go. Still captain in his heart.

Ladhams - I said early that his forward play and marking has been improving in the second half of the year. Has shown a bit more in the ruck as well.

Amon - his run and carry from contests just kills teams. We will have to have a plan for him next year cause teams will come for him.

Dbj - still the shocking kicking but so much more involved tonight.

Alir - killed Charlie curnow. Will be very unlucky if he isn’t all-aus this season cause no other defender has been consistently great all year either. It’s Andrew’s , lever - then between Alir and may imo for the 3rd.

Bergman - since moving to the wing he’s gotten better and better every week. Moves like a future elite player. We’ve found our future wingman.

Butters - some real smart football by butters. Changes the way we play when he gets involved.

Houston - still hasn’t recovered his intercepting defensive game but as that loose sweeper across the back he cut Carlton to pieces today. No idea what Carlton player was meant to be near him but they never seemed to be within a mile of him. Constantly on the move and that was a pleasure to see.

Rozee - some rozee specials in there tonight.

Gray - his body is beyond cooked. He can be a liability at times but his smarts and footballing ability just makes something out of half chances time and again. Which is good cause we are experts at only giving our forwards half chances.

Dixon - well held, literally, for most of the game but won out in the end. Needs to start playing smarter rather than harder cause it should t take this much effort for him to get these goals.

Burton - effective

Bonner - after a cpl of great weeks he had some crap efforts early but was still involved then he disappeared when we got good?

Fantasia - best game in ages. Kept running and created chances.

Drew - very solid effort. Important in the middle.

Lycett - decent quality game from the big guy before going out.

Marshall - important start where he got us on the board when we were very shaky. Keep working hard.

Georgiades - lots of good Georgiades moments tho a bit disappointed that when we were on top we couldnt get him involved more tho we seemed too dixon focused.

Jonas - better game tho I didn’t seem to notice him as much

Clurey - shaky at times, some real butter fingers and nerves with the ball but steadied and did his job.

Duursma - not a massive game on paper but always working and competing. Got a few clearances today which is good.

Mayes - had an impact as sub.

Still think Port is unbalanced. But not sure what the change is.

Lycett needs Ladhams, Ladhams up forward helps Dixon. MG looks much more damaging with Marshall in the team… But Mashall looked damaging because he has space as Ladhams is resting up forward and attracted a tall defender.

Hate to say it, but maybe it’s Lycett…. But last week we missed Marshall and I called for Ladhams to be dropped,

Im so confused.

The first quarter and a half a bit of a worry two weeks from finals. But you gotta be happy with what happened after that. AA is amazing, he even knowledged us and gave us a thumbs up when he was near our group. We had a great time at the football.

Shout out to Marshall for that first goal. It was brilliant the way he slapped that loose ball down onto his boot to get it over the line. Shows what a smart player he is. Was totally overlooked by the dimwits in the commentary team.

Shout out also to Drew for the first goal of the second half. That was a sensational one grab pick up of the ground ball to give Rozee the opportunity to score. Players who can take the ball cleanly are worth their weight in gold, especially in finals.

The past two weeks, I've been glad to see Ken using the injury sub the way that Clarko intended when he invented the rule - to bring on fresh legs in the last term :smilev1:
