Bazzo for Edwards then

Petruccelle for Cripps, maybe Hutchinson instead but I think Petch is more suited to Cripps’ role

Id even put Petch as sub and have Dewar play Cripps role and then this gives us a chance to play Hall in a full time role.

Also give Kelly more forward minutes to accommodate center mins for Hall.

Finally play 4 qtrs of good hard footy and the boys are a bit banged up and sore.
Mmmmmmm.
Probably wouldn't be so sore if they played that type of footy more often and got the bodies used to it.
Go hard the last 3 weeks and you all have a few months to get over it, but you will be better prepared next year to know what it takes.

I reckon they forgot to count either the bushfire game or the one International Rules game.

Gaff is currently sitting on 298 AFL games as under the qualification guidelines official AFL pre-season matches are taken into account, along with representative games. Gaff played 18 pre-season games, one game for Victoria and one International Rules game against Ireland.

Perfectly fine with Gaff getting two games to reach AFL life membership

Thought something was in the works when he was withdrawn from the WAFL game but was thrown by the 297/298 qualifying games. Thought it was unlikely he’d play a retirement game at MDMA

Turns out it’s only 2 games so he plays North before a send off game against Carlton at home

Deserves it

Actually no-one deserves charity selections just to reach a milestone but it's hardly the worst decision the clubs made during this period. Send JD round again as he's going to finish the year a few short as well, and once Cripps ticks off 250 we can start to look at how we get another 50 games into him too. It's not a proper AFL career unless you get to 300 games and they're club legends every single one of them. etc etc.

umm.... ok

JD is contracted for next year, and likely to make 300 games. Even as not the first choices forwards, there's bound to be times OA and JW are out next season and we need depth.

Cripps won't make 300, no one has even suggested it.

Yeah, highly unlikely cripps will go beyond his current contract.

Infact its likely he will spend a significant amount of 2025 in the twos (like sheed, and possibly darling)

Two dead rubber games for Gaff to get life membership, at the end of a season where we’re locked into 16th spot and starting to send off players for surgery.

Definitely worth having a tanty over.
