Word is they do not want to play Baldwin unless it is one of the two key defensive spots that Laverde and BTZ are playing. Hope he can get a game. His form is well above average. Wanganeen has to play.

Would you be surprised if he is delisted? Bear in mind this will be his third year on the rookie list iirc so needs to be upgraded if we keep

Great test for Scott this week, Wanganeen and Baldwin have thoroughly deserved a call up and need to be rewarded.

After 21 rounds I’m extremely confident it’s a test Scott will fail.

Yep I have it at the moment too - surprised he was able to play what he did. Fyfe ran with a fractured leg but couldn't on plantar fasciitis.

For all the gains we made in the first half of the season, those feelings that we'd somehow changed and would turn up each week no matter the opponent... Nah, that's gone , reverted back to type. Can't relax being an Essendon fan.

Then you get scott saying in the presser our fwd50 entries arnt a major issue despite having 55 entries and scoring 20 odd times vs the worst performing side in years. Pls, kicking on-top of wrights head isn't the way, if he's not on his bike running at the kicker, look elsewhere.

There's no need to worry about us this week. North are actually s**t scared that they'll actually win and reduce their chance of a priority pick. So they are no threat whatsoever.

Chalk up a win to Norf. This team is done for 2023.

I must say at the start of the season my expectations were around a 14th place finish. Obviously with our excellent form early in 2023 I, like many, started to believe that just maybe we'd turned a corner and Brad Scott's influence had changed us quickly rather than a previously expected slow burn. Reality has a sharp way of reminding us how far we have to go to be really changed sometimes and this second half of the season is a reflection of exactly that.

North will see our last game. They will know we are low on confidence. They will play this like a final. And we all know what happens to us in finals....

we dropped intensity in the 2nd half. i think we thought we had it done.
I saw the same at the hawks v pies game. Pies took the hawks lightly and never got control of the game.

Good wake up call as i suspect WCE wouldnt have let that loss slide.

It's highly unlikely, and we have had a terrible patch... but form does swing around.

North could easily knock us over but I feel it's less likely now we have had that shock against WCE.

The GWS game looms as very interesting. If we pinch that our season is alive in the last round and the Pies are gettable.

Then having knocked over GWS and Collingwood... Settlefield back this week, Tsatas getting hot, week off... Draper & Ridley back in...

Feels like a finals win to me.
