If they read some of the comments on here about them, the alleged bias against us may become self perpetuating!

I know that Hanners had some niggles but can't believe that anyone would want to sign him for 4 more years. Walk away Saints.
Let The Swans keep him on their books for 3 more years!

GWS are a better side than Melbourne. They have been destroyed by injury when they lose. If they don’t get an injury during the game, they will beat Melbourne and play them again the following week on their deck.

Furthermore one of Sydney or geelong will be gone the following week should GWS win. I can’t see Sydney with Franklin losing two big SCG contests in a row.

Meeting the pies in a QF is the better result on the balance of probabilities for us, however it really doesn’t matter. The experience is invaluable and our youthful exhuberance coupled with our seniors fear nobody. The big three matches has shown this. Our kids didn’t fear the clutch moments against Essendon, the trinity, or the one sided free kick count and scg crowd.

Our composure is our strength (saints grind proved this also) and the mcg suits us.

It was an amazing win but seriously that Razor cu.. should realise he is an umpire not all about me.

Stupid media commentators calling him Razor Ray and this sort of rubbish as obviously gone to his head as he thinks he is some sort of well liked kooky personality?

No. He is a fu....t and has no place in the game nor does Meredith. He also constantly over steps the line of lecturing players on the field which is NOT his job!

I don't want to take the gloss of the win, as it was immense, but the fact is true.

Either Meredith and good old Razor were cheating or should NEVER umpire a game of football again.

I don't trust goggle eyed Gill or the AFL ever as can imagine him having a bit of a joke with the umpires before the game; "look after our Swans boys guys..." ho..ho.. I honestly can.

There were too many decisions that were just obviously cheating or again if they weren't, then those two disgraceful umpires should never be allowed to umpire an AFL game again as was totally biased.

I truly believe it it were fair umpiring that Hawthorn would have won by my earlier prediction of at least 25 points or so, possibly a lot more.

Surely they should made to be accountable. Grant Williams, new umpiring boss is a ****.... as had dealing with him before sadly recording local club songs etc so wouldn't have thought he would do jack shit but if the umpires were given a mandate by the AFL to look after a particular club like Sydney for the good of the game is cheating or they are not up to the standard; as seen better umpires in the Amateurs who are fair and non-biased!

I reckon we can play a lot better no doubt but whatever the case it has to be on a fair playing field as could tell very early on that the umpires were looking at anything to pay a free case against us even if not there.

Hawthorn should make up a tape of the shocking decisions and send it to the AFL with a please explain!

How's Razor Ray warning a Sydney player, "Next time you hold it'll be a free." Meanwhile, all game he was fisting us dry. WTF! Talk about double standards. Aren't umpires meant to pay the frees as they see them? There's your proof right there that he saw free kicks to Hawthorn and wasn't paying them and was favouring Sydney. That's cheating. Rays bank accounts and phone should be investigated after that and he should be held accountable as that's admitting to not paying one team free kicks. Disgrace.

Geelong have a thread previewing their Elimination Final on their board and I'm amused to see after a couple of 100 point wins on their Cheat Ground against woeful opposition some of them are now brimming with confidence, hoping they line up in a Semi-Final against us. Same old story really, these fools never seem to learn the lesson that games at Kardinia Park always make them look far better than they really are.
If GWS wins tomorrow it will set up a Sydney vs Geelong Elimination Final at the SCG which would be an absolute pleasure to watch for obvious reasons.

Getting back to us though, Clarko seemed to be going out of his way to put things into perspective in the presser and isn't about to let the team get ahead of itself. He seems to regard this as a learning experience and I don't think is expecting us to beat Richmond, but they have to lose at the MCG sooner or later. A fifteen win season goes way beyond my expectations and regardless of what happens from here on I'm completely satisfied 2018 has been a success.

Re geelong, their coach effectively had the same sentiments after their loss to us where they were clear favourites. Absolutely zero acceptance.So their supporters don’t surprise me.

As you mentioned a GWS victory will make wonderful viewing week 1 of finals. If they exit week one, they have wasted the year and their losses to us has destroyed their top four aspirations which they arrogantly felt they deserved before the opening bounce of the season. Two lucky Melbourne escapes also speaks volumes.

Re Clarko, he knows the list has exceeded expectations, however I don’t think he genuinely feels it is an overachievement in light of the premiership talent available. I know that may sound contradictory, however Clarkson has acknowledged the outs to serious players we had in early 2017. We have been really good since the bye last season. Clarkson believes in rebuilding on the fly, not bottoming out.

I believe Clarkson knows the mix is solid, he just can’t believe he found so many youngsters performing in his starting 22 without fear. Realistically it took us a ridiculous amount of dumb losses against geelong to turn the tide in 2013. This new group is building mental toughness at record speeds and will enjoy a vast majority of Stratton, Rough, Burgoyne, Puopolo, Shiels, gunston, breust, B.B., frawley, and even birch experience for some years.

The hawks have a special will this season and it will be driven by our youth. They want to prove themselves.

What I love about this club is they just grind it out. No tanking, no BS rebuilds or green shoots, just be the best you can be.

They don’t seek validation by anyone outside the club.

Regardless what happens I’m proud. So proud of this club. I was at a wog function tonight and hijacked the mic when we got over the line and belted our team song. Didn’t care.

Yes, I forgot that one.

You can tell my Hardwick's initial reaction that be clearly believed he touched it and pleaded for it to be reviewed.

But no. Not for Hawthorn. It is ignored and not reviewed.

The video review was supposedly brought it for that very contentious reason and clearly showed that it touched his fingers!

But no review for Hawthorn.

Abolish the concept then because do you think if it were a Swans player it would have been referred to the so called video referee? Mmm.... I wonder...

The AFL did not want us to win, plain and simple and the umpires tried their very best to try and make this happen but not to be... hee...hee...

Hardwick has clearly his fingers bent but no review. Blatant cheating all night. It’s not about Sydney winning for the AFL it’s to do with Big Bad Monster awakening!! Scary stuff for the flogs!
Watch how none of our tackles get rewarded in the finals and we get pinged almost each time we get near the ball.

At the start of the season I really thought we would at best be fighting for low spot in the 8 , very happy to be wrong .......again

Some serious understated resilience in this side. Winning tough close games against decent opposition recently and turning around 3 goal deficit last night .

Great to see the young fellas get recognition on the broadcast after the game too from the media.

So it's 5 am and we STILL won. Life is good.

At the start of this season if you'd told me we'd notch up 15 wins, finish top 4, beat Geelong twice, kill Essendon*'s finals chances, have Tom Mitchell win the Brownlow, destroy Sydney's top 4 chances and unearth a bunch of young talent in Worpel, Morrison, Miles & Nash.... I'd have taken that every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Its almost a shame we can't end the entire season right now because that would've been the perfect finish to it.

I am the same, I hate reading posts about the umpiring but tonight was absolutely to another level... it was jaw dropping stuff, Meredith and Rayzor need to be sacked.
