Freddy out for someone that does something - like I'll take goals, tackles or chases.

He is playing the exact way that Sam Sturt was dropped/held back for literal seasons.

If Sturt wasn't kicking goals, laying tackles or chasing he'd be out - Freddy needs to lift or its further evidence we have different expectations for different players.

Wouldn’t mind 3/4 marks from one of our rucks this week

What about the other three quarters?

I hope Reidy gets the pep talk before the game that he should go into this match like it's the only game he will play and his career depends on it. He plays his heart out and is carried off at the end he's so exhausted, we won, and the whole competition saw what he can do.

With Darcy and Treacy confirmed outs you have Reidy play the Darcy role as the main ruck and Voss play the Treacy role as the big bodied key forward who occasionally floats up the ground to impact a contest. Like for likes, albeit raw versions. Jackson returns to the ruck/forward role. Tabs goes back out - never should have been in to begin with.

Our structure was all over the place last week, so go back to basics this week. We are missing 3 of our most important players and fielding a debutant in what is essentially an elimination final away from home, so you want to keep it as simple as possible and not unnecessarily overcomplicate anything.

Reidy just needs to stand firm under the ball, this prevents Briggs getting the tap or taking it out of the ruck.

He’s not going to beat Briggs if they go head to head so the best he can do is try to negate him, Briggs is coming off a shoulder injury so he won’t be looking to jostle and he likes to leap anyway so if Reidy can impede, bring the ball to ground and let Serong and Brayshaw do the crumbing it’ll go a long way. If Briggs is putting it down to Green and Kelly at every stoppage then it’s going to be a long day.

I don't see Briggs as a leaping hit out ruck, he's actually in the poor to average range for hitouts to advantage but he's elite at clearances from taking the ball out of the ruck.

All Reidy needs to do is cancel out Briggs. We are not expecting miracles. Just get out there son, work your ****ing ass off and make Briggs earn it. Just try break even.

Then it’s up to Jackson to lift when he goes into the ruck, and also to provide something special in attack. He’s been fleeting around the fringes at 6 or 7/10 level for weeks now. If ever there was a time for LJ to stand up and deliver a monster game it’s this weekend.
Is Briggs definitely playing? He wasn't last week so was hoping he would miss again.

Reidy in over Tabs and an underdone Darcy is a good start.

Next I would look at providing Voss with a “legal” glove. Reckon it’s between his ears these dropped marks. Bit like Bugs Bunny providing the secret stuff in Space Jam..it could be a winner.

Worner should be out and never in the team again. Provides nothing.
It's kind of baffling that a guy that can bench 140kg can't hold a football. Concrete hands. Hope he learns to mark out in front, it's the one thing stopping him being AFL level.

Reidy is a better tap ruckman than Briggs, Briggs likes to manhandle opposing rucks with strength. Reidy is a big boy and as I said just needs to hold his ground and not get pushed under the ball.

To be fair, asking him to cancel out Briggs who is AFL experienced and rather decent is asking for a bit of a miracle.
We want Reidy to compete and not get pantsed, with the key benefit feeding up Jackson more up forward.

But agreed would love to see Jackson hit some form.

Freddy is a good player people don’t recognise what her he does and he’s been kicking goals like 6 in the last three
