Seems like this game will be a lock. Good for you guys, you can blast them off the park and repeat the dose next week. North the worst team of the 8 easily. If you lose you'll probably have to travel to Adelaide, so nice incentive to win, get your home final, and not flirt with form.

Norf will try to be clever, rest some players etc, but it won't work I don't think. They aren't good enough to pull Fremantle-style manoeuvres.

I'm gonna go with Richmond by 95 points over the 2 week period

I doubt they are too concerned about playing Western Bulldogs.

They may be resting players simply because there is no risk of them playing in Adelaide and they want to prepare for finals. There is also a slight possibility they want to finish 8th to ensure they play Sydney in the semi if they win and potentially Hawthorn in the prelim if they beat Hawthorn. The alternative draw could be a double to WA. All depending on results.

In our case we have lost the game that needed to be lost (against Adelaide) to ensure we don't get too tired winning 8 in a row.

If Bulldogs lose and both North and Adelaide win, North will go to Adelaide as Adelaide will be finishing 5th and North will be finishing 8th (their percentage is too low to overtake Richmond and Bulldogs to finish higher than 8th in this scenario unless both Richmond and Bulldogs get smashed by 100+). Bulldogs aren't likely to lose to Brisbane, but they could decide to rest players and therefore lose to Brisbane.

Losing to Richmond this week however will guarantee a Melbourne final for them, unless Sydney lose to Gold Coast (highly unlikely as they know their top 4 spot is not secure and therefore won't be tanking).

They will see a lot of benefit to resting players (fresh players cone finals time and avoiding a trip to Adelaide in the EF).

You guys will play the dogs at home I reckon, I think brissy will play out of their skins at home in the last game and beat the dogs provided the cats don't play out of their skin in their last home game for some retiring stars, the last round of the year is a lottery just like the opening round IMO because you just don't know if teams will go through the motions or go hell for leather.

Only reason Norf would rest is because they pulled what we did last year and burnt petrol tix getting into the eight in the first place. Let em rest up, do what they gotta do to get their precious heads in the right space. Then ****ing BANG, smash the campaigners two weeks in a row because of superior form.

I'm not too up to speed with how things work here, so maybe one of you Mods can let me know if this is OK? I'm also not really up to speed on what a Mod is, but I assume you blokes know what's acceptable and what's not.
