Need to wait till finals time usually .
Sweet.
And he'll replace Ceglar, so play 30% ruck?
So back down to 2x undersized KPF then? (Kosi + Gunston).Lewis can do the rucking
Lewis doesn't like doing the rucking. If TOB is in and Ceglar is out he will ruck. Lewis might do a cameo for a few minutes but that is all.Lewis can do the rucking
Let me clarify.I don’t know how you walk away from that game and think we’re bottom 4.
Akida ?Sad for the result. Thoughts:
- I get that people will be frustrated with Howe's game. As much as there were times that frustrated me, there were just as many times where i was in awe of his courage. For mine, he's the very definition of an 'edge' player (tech nerds will back me here!)
- There were a tonne of positives with respect to development. Scrimshaw made all the right decisions underpressure, CJ continued his growth, etc.
- The spearheads hadn't played together much and it showed. There was a time in the 2nd (or 1st?) quarter where Lewis and Kosi ran to the exact same spot, only to spoli each other and Geelong to mark. They'll learn in time. The sun definitely impacted them in the first quarter (esp. Kosi I think).
- Great to have Chad back. There's no subsitute for class.
- Another great game from Hardwick.
- Haritgan was found out early, but came back strong. It's important to have someone who can run with the gorillas.
- Worpel had a challenging game, but to my eye, he was not short on effort. A work in progress.
In short, a solid effort, let down by cohesion in the forward line. A lot of development to look forward to.
Last time we played them in finals we lost
For 13 years the high ball to Nooneinpaeticular hasn't worked against Geelong and yet Clarkson still either, a) thinks it's a winning strategy, or b) can't figure out Geelong's defensive unit weakness/es.
It's worry that when every other winning team is winning through having their forwards leading up to the ball, while our are instructed to park themselves 15m out from the goal and told to wait for the ball to come to them.
We matched it or beat Geelong everywhere except in F50 efficiency and that's why we lost.
any cut throat final my friend, any cut throat final....argument killer right there. One of my old Bosses is a mad Scats fan and use to give it to me during the curse years. One day after a close lose, he joyfully asked me, so when do you ever think you guys will beat us again.
I replied, next time we play you in a granny like 89 and 08! He replied, fair point and walked off!!!
Last time we played them in finals we lost
Not disputing the count just saying that the impact of frees for and against didn’t feel like we had 7 more.facts are facts. We won the count by 7.
C'mon, that's unfair. Cegs had 7 more possessions.O’Brien took the same number of marks as ceglar
Not sure we will see both teams in the finals at the same time for a while.Yup, but I still remember the 2013 PF and 2014 QF . Currently it's 2>1 for the Hawks. We need to get back to finals to test the theory.
Rematch the last 10 minutes of the 2nd. That turned the game and rattled our players. Took us 15 minutes into the 3rd to change our game to stop the umps influence. Too little too latefacts are facts. We won the count by 7.
24-17 frees our way.
Go watch the 2013 PrelimSick of losing to these evil fu**s by a kick almost every. single. *******. time.
Will it EVER be our turn?
Yep. Nothing new. Happens every year yet in those 3peat years the opposition finalist teams always had an armchair ride in the opening games as well.I just think it's unfair that a team who finished 15th has to play the previous season's Grand Finalists in the first 3 rounds.
