We have a lot of VFL listed players out there and Essendon aren't a bad VFL side. Just putting it out there.

I would imagine that they have a few players currently playing seniors that would ordinarily be playing vfl if not for the 12 suspensions.

This is becoming circular but I'll try again. They have been drafted to an AFL list, they had an opportunity to show that they are above VFL and they did not take it.

They got slaughtered out of the ruck it gave the few AFL mids we had no hope. Couple that to the fact that we have kids in the first year playing against blokes like Crowley and Simpkin they were always up against. You can't hang the kids for that. What was poor was what we did when we won the ball the game plan is a joke. Notice how when we have a mark or free kick we hardly ever look in board. We need to take more risks and **** this conservative ball movement crap off

Didak, Leon , krakour , Tarrant just to name a few were let go way to early . Look at north , Hawks swans and Geelong all have 4 or 5 players in their 30s and they started winning grand finals before our young 2010 premiership side . Buckley destroyed our winning culture now the cancer has spread to the VFL game plan .

At nearly 30 have to agree with you, at Collingwood we simply don't have players perform well once they hit 30... in fact most of them just drop off the face of the planet and then get delisted.

Agree. He has been declining the last couple of years. He still has a blinder now and then like all players who were great in their younger days.
Cloke is a premiership player and has been a champion for our club. But I don't think we should expect much from now on. Hope our game plan shifts to allow him more 1 on 1. The problem is that these type of contests are very rare in today's football

None of that stops a kid from running a little harder even if it hurts late in a game.

Would be worthwhile trying to figure out why all our players go to shit after 30, especially considering North and co. who are tearing it up with oldies.

I agree.With a new coach and a new game plan,he could rise again.There's nothing wrong with him physically,his problems are mental at the moment,and can be turned around.
