These cash grabbing Gawn flickers running hayes at R2 are all on farrrrrrkin drugs mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
They deserve everything thats cummin to them mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

If you really want to do it, just pick up Xerri this week and leave Gawn alone for awhile. You can flick him anytime after you've had a look at what Ryder does to Hayes, whether that big turnip Preuss can play an entire half of footy, and whether Xerri is a 65-70 average against teams that arnt the U21 magoos.

I'm risking it for the biscuit man...

McCartin / Daicos
Pretty even, to be honest. I could see McCartin scoring as much as Bowey and Daicos as much as Caldwell.

Back your gut on this one, I reckon.

Hey gentleman only come here when I’m in a real pickle
Who do I go
Witts and Sicily or
Hall and pruess
I’m torn on this selection.

For me, Witts and Sic due to the unreliability of Preuss.

Witts and Sic are guaranteed to play each week (aside from injury). Not sure the same can be said of Preuss.

Witts and Sicily, there’s a reason Preuss has played 15 games in 7 years, far too risky to put him at R2.

Only way it works is if you have Xerri and you’re comfortable rolling the dice that one of Hayes, Preuss or Dixon is on the park for the next four weeks, and even then you could be giving up 50+ points per week. Just far too much that can go wrong I feel.

Yeah that’s what I feel to but hall could be the only keeper out the 4 so it’s tough decision

That's super-premo Nash to you.
He's been a pleasant surprise running through the middle, no?
I've always thought it was crazy trying to turn the irish lads into forwards. Without the background in the game, they need to see the game unfold in front of them. Normally that means half-back but the Gaelic game involves a lot of identifying space, running channels etc., so midfield can work too.
I couldn't see what the fuss was with him, until this year
Yeah, there was big wraps late last year, but can't say I noticed it either. He was tempting for SC, but just a tad too expensive.

That's a fair point but Sicily should do well enough as a cheap D6 keeper.

Averaging 95 so far with last 3 season averages of 105, 94 and 103. Should be enough to keep, especially at his price. Coaches votes the first 2 weeks (including BOG) should suggest his form is good enough on return from injury. Only worry is his scoring volatility and he's playing a bit more lockdown (true CHB).

Either he or Witts would only be final, 'luxury' upgrades anyway (with Witts averaging around 95-100 over the last few as well)

I hate burning trades early in the season but what are your thoughts on the below traded.
I'm really torn on weather to trade out Gawn.
Do i hold and do no trades or:

Or have you got any other ideas?

Can any Melbourne supporters provide comments on what Boweys role is and whether it changed from round 1 to 2?

Alot of neutral supporters are suggesting he has taken salems role but looking at Boweys highlights it doesnt appear the Dees are actively using him as a distributor. He actually won alot of his ball contested and intercepting. Whilst this bodes well for his future as a player it doesnt give me as much confidence picking him in supercoach.
He's a tough little unit who wins the contested ball but reads the play brilliantly so gets intercepts. Also the best ball user in our team.

Super SC friendly, think Caleb Daniel but does the tough stuff

Wasn't Newman the one where everyone (me included) had looped him to get a captains score and he scored 151? That was more the captain score I was trying to get.

That was a great day.....

TRADES:

McGovern --> Xerri
Whitfield --> Hewett
Berry --> T. Green

Does anyone see any issue with these trades and where it leaves my side?
Berry to Green feels like point chasing for mine, Berry will still make decent coin even if he maintains this average, but I think he’s more likely to get closer to an 85 average. Green would need to average 110-120 and be a keeper for it to be worth spending a trade there in my view.

Hello Gents, little stuck this week. $91,600 in the kitty
Urge to trade, 1 used Dusty to Butter Rnd 2.

a) 1 trade Hough > JHF
b) 3 trades. Should I stock up on rookies, (Berry > JHF), (Hough > Rachele), (Nod > Hinge). Cash gen sorted, but a lot of money on the pine.
c) 2 trades. (Berry > JHF), (NOD > Bowey D6)
d) All crazy, something else?

Thoughts on these 3 trades?

I end up with this and $95k in the bank
I can loop Dusty this week and then next week Durdin>Martin & Dusty>SP Midfielder

Berry to Green is very short-sighted IMO. Neither are keepers, and Berry has a higher cash gen ceiling, so all you're really doing is securing some extra short-term points. Save the cash and the trade for an early upgrade to a keeper IMO.

Looking at either Option 1 or Option 2 below, would appreciate your suggestions.

Option 1:
Whitfield to Bowey
Berry to Cripps
Ward (M9) to Xerri via Maginness

Or

Option 2:
Darcy to Witts/Jackson - First time ever having darcy and I'm not sure i can cope with all the late decisions
Berry to Cripps
Maginness to Xerri
