Where my thoughts are at -

McGovern has to go - probably becomes Xerri.

Whitfield also probably has to go - Was thinking Hewett, but now thinking Bowey could be the play?

And then getting rid of Owens for someone who will make cash - could be any of Brodie, JHF or D Stephens?

Don’t think there is anything else glaringly obvious that needs to be fixed. Hurts to miss Heeney/Cripps. I’ll back Gawn in to bounce back.

Looking at either Option 1 or Option 2 below, would appreciate your suggestions.

Option 1:
Whitfield to Bowey
Berry to Cripps
Ward (M9) to Xerri via Maginness

Or

Option 2:
Darcy to Witts/Jackson - First time ever having darcy and I'm not sure i can cope with all the late decisions
Berry to Cripps
Maginness to Xerri
Want to say 1 but there appears to be a fair bit of uncertainty around Darcy.

You're essentially burning 3 trades and not bringing in any keepers, whilst losing one (Whitspud).

Yes you could look at it like that but I'm looking for cash generation and also backup if I lose a few to covid. Whitfield is probably a keeper but not if he pumps out another 70 this week.

These cash grabbing Gawn flickers running hayes at R2 are all on farrrrrrkin drugs mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
They deserve everything thats cummin to them mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

If you really want to do it, just pick up Xerri this week and leave Gawn alone for awhile. You can flick him anytime after you've had a look at what Ryder does to Hayes, whether that big turnip Preuss can play an entire half of footy, and whether Xerri is a 65-70 average against teams that arnt the U21 magoos.
Got Hayes at R2 and Gawn. I think a combination of Hayes/Preuss/Dixon at R2 with DPP swing and likely ability to loop are pretty good options. Only need a couple rounds and even if Xerri who I also have averages 70 as a R2 given that's about 400K saved vs other rucks who are only going about 100-110 anyway I'm not complaining.

C2BC46FA-2A81-4BA3-A96D-B7C5700B9F0C.jpeg My first trades of the year:

Ridley to Hall
Whitfield to Hewett
Ralphsmith to Bowey (via McCartin DPP move to forward line.

I think this shores up my defence. Taking a risk with Hall, Hewett could be a keeper (worst case some solid cash gen) and Bowey is big cash gen and an eventual upgrade to a premium defender. Hanging onto Steele and Gawn through the bad times, hopefully they come good.

Yes I'm thinking very similar actually.
Plan was
Ridley -> Hewett
Whitfield -> Bowey
Hough -> Cripps

Gawn my only other underperforming premium but thinking I'll hang on and hope he gets back to his best. I'm also quite concerned with Ridley's role and potential long term and looks more like the second half of last year by the sounds of it to me rather than that opening patch. Would make him more of a 95 average which isn't really good enough for D5 or above (assuming you already have Sicily who is probably 95-100). Would love to bring in Hall but Cripps is also a priority for me.

I don't need to correct any rookies or grab midpricers, and I've decided to keep Whitfiled and Gawn (for now).

But I need to move on Dusty and I don't have Cripps.

I can ignore Cripps and just go Dusty -> Heeney.

Or I can sacrifice Ward and go Dusty -> Brodie, Ward -> Cripps.

Already used 3 trades last week. Someone tell me to just do the conservative trade.

Have Merrett as a must trade, but this may be the week to get rid of Gawn as the probable targets will rise 40k, whilst Gawn also drops significantly.

For Merrett/Gawn/Owens could get Brayshaw/Heeney/Witts with only 6k remaining. Not enough dollars for Petracca, unfortunately.

Guess I just trade Merrett to Heeney and watch tonight's game. Can make a decision tomorrow.

Genuinely don't know what to do this week, but my gut is telling me to pull trades. Not confident with Ridley at this point but not sure who to trade into. Also had thoughts of bringing in Jackson for McGovern but for some reason I'm not convinced. Thoughts? Advice?

Hey guys, need a little help. Torn between 2 options.

Option A:

McInerney (syd) to Bowey
Hough to D Stephens
Rowell to Cripps

Or

Option B

McInerney to Hewett
McGovern (Carlton) to Xerri
Hough to Stephens

Basically tossing up between Cripps & Hewett, then getting cash generation. It will hurt missing Cripps, but leaning to option B

Unfortunately I can’t get both.
