Hi guys, I'm seeking a bit of help here:

I have 142k left in the bank.

I've considered:

Petrucelle -> Rozee

OR

Hore -> Rozee (opens up DPP with Keira).

The other option is I can trade Dusty to just about anyone (considering Neale, Cogs or Seagull via Duursma)

Any advice ?

I am thinking of bringing in 2 rookies for Mills and Hore, banking 350k to setup for double upgrades in a few weeks.
Worth it or better to jump on instant gratification and bring in a Worpol etc?
Rookies in will be Parker (Onfield)and Duursma(bench).

Both those rookies are must haves.

Got to get them in imo.

Cheers JM. My thinking exactly. Think I can only gain from bringing in the rookies.
Would love to bring in Worpol, but he is getting tired towards the end of matches so not sure he will be able to keep things going at this rate all year. Happy to be wrong on that one!

Seriously considering Gibbons to LDU.
Kicking myself i didn't go Atkins to LDU last night.

Cash gen is so important and LDU's going to rise fast.

Current bench is:

Collins - Hore
Scott - Atkins - Gibbons
Bines
Setterfield - Balta

Hore may never return
Gibbons playing primarily forward for a shit team
Atkins shaky JS
Balta has already been dropped once

At his starting price, Gibbons will rise in value off a lower score than what LDU will. Do the sums and work out if the extra points LDU may provide will help your team more than the trade itself.
At this stage you have to concede that you can not have them all. If you consider LDU is going to cost you a trade and 90k on Gibbons, how long will it take Gibbons to make that 90k and save you a trade. This is even more relevant if LDU will be on your bench.

What would be a realistic average for LDU from now until his bye?

70...80...90..?

Either zero trades, or two (still sitting with 30). Potentially:
Heeney -> Worpel
Hore -> Rozee

Frees up another 80k and gets a rookie with good JS + SP in. Have cash leagues, but I always prioritise overall rank.

Just need to decide if I’ve lost faith in Heeney enough to trust Worpel, and whether I’m just being influenced by the opportunity to get a good DEF rookie in when the other ones on the horizon are BOG average.

I'd all but convinced myself to hold Heeney as I do think he is a long term blue chip investment despite a sore ankle & Horse being a campaigner, but just realised that I would have enough $$'s to do the following..

Heeney > Worpel/Daniel
Brodie Smith > Lloyd (next week)

Is this outcome worth 2 trades?

No need for LDU then. You really wanna bench Constable or Walsh every week?
I’ve had Constable at M9 each week. Can confirm it’s a shit idea.

I’m considering Heeney to Worpel too, however I don’t really see the point in flicking Smith already. He’s averaging low-mid 80s as expected, will continue to make some cash and give you some fairly reliable points. Let him keep appreciating in value and then swap him for a fallen premo later. Don’t use two trades to rid yourself of a mid pricer.

I consider a couple trades this round as correctional and still tweaking your starting team.....
Smith to Lloyd is going to bring in the top def and his points. he doesn't look like he is dropping.
Heeney is a 50/50 risk and worpel is going well now but can he maintain the pace?
Consider the trades heeney > lloyd (definitely) and smith > worpel (bit sideways but allows 1st trade)

Im looking at Smith to a cheap Laird in a few weeks of. I said last night with seedsman out, 1 of smith or milera will stop stealing his points as they move to the wing. Well thats a theory at this stage lets see how it works out.
