Round 3 trades

See Above but namely Lachie Neale has replaced him.

He got dropped last year and never quite recaptured his form and the speed of the game is killing him.

With the price rises and falls, there will be a 46k fall with barlow if he reaches his proj of 70, at least Hartley didnt play round 1 so his price won't change.

TBH I'm almost hoping he spuds up again this week, it makes it easier to chop him for Round 4 and getting Hartley (and 320k odd cash) on the bubble.
If he pulls out a 90-100 ton (unlikely) it kinda throws a spanner in the works.

Thinking I might just hold Rocky for a week, he isn't going to loss coin so not that big of a deal.

Ellis > Kennedy
Barlow > Merrett

Gives me 45k to go Rockliff to someone next week.

Because if he gets injured I can't replace him with another premo.

Doesn't mean he isn't getting premo-like scores though.

Fair enough. He'll be 500k by Rd5 and 600k by Rd10 though.

I've pulled the trigger:

Mills -> papley via Kerridge

Rocky -> jj via lonergan

Going to keep Barlow for now. He's fit, I feel like I have to back him in, whereas Rocky's body is falling apart Bruce Reid style.

I have 240k in the kitty, so I can move him if I have to, or use that to upgrade a rookie to a premo sooner rather than later.

I'm allowing s gray and m barlow to compete in a fight to the death spud-off this week.

Whoever proves to be the biggest spud will be rewarded with a trading out to nat fyfe or somebody who can play football.

May the biggest spud win.

So far I've done Gresham to Papley. Pretty settled on this, agree with the majority of Saints supporters that Gresham is possibly low on JS and will be in and out of the side until he adapts to the pace of the game more. Got about 45k in the bank, can't quite afford Kennedy from McCarthy.

Should I bite the bullet on Rockliff -> Liberatore this week? Or Kennedy in? Or sit on Rocky, wait for someone like Dangerfield to hopefully drop in a couple of weeks, or he looks fit enough to keep.

Long time lurker here, first time posting. What are peoples thoughts on a straight swap of Rocky to Zorko? Or is Parker a safer bet?

Would personally choose Parker. Zorko more likely to pull out 60's I'd say? Especially in about a months time with a full Brisbane midfield - he'll still end up top 10 forward, but I'd say he's not a must have from now.

Was thinkin goin
Rocky > libba
Yeo > JJ

Either libba or zaharakis?

Libba. Proven premo history. If Zaharakis breaks out
Rocky is anything but a proven SC machine.

As anybody who has ever had him in SC will tell you.... He's like a yo yo on a roller-coaster.

It's always something with rocky, whether it be being injured or being played out of position... It's seemingly never-ending with that little bastard.

Plus he's not even that cheap relatively.

Disagree completely. I would recommend getting rid of him over the next couple of weeks (out for 2 weeks apparently, calf could end up being 3), but I think a lot of people will possibly end up trading him back in. He's on my upgrade list when fit and hopefully 100k cheaper than he is now.

I'm thinking of doing something stupid by trading Pendlebury to Dangerfield. I didn't like the looks of Pendles coming off half back on Friday, and when he played in the middle in the last quarter he couldn't get near the ball, and only had 2 touches. He finished with only 5 contested possessions compared to 20 uncontested, had 4 tackles, and 0 clearances. Is this a stupid thing to do or could it actually be a smart move?

Pendles had 2 underperforming games and got 88 and 110. Danger had an underperforming game and got 74. I don't see why you'd do it tbh. I'm sticking by Pendles, only a matter of time before either a) Pendles is fit to play in the midfield or b) Buckley realises playing Pendles in the midfield is the best way to win games

Can someone help a first timer out?
WRT trades and their value? I could easily trade any of barlow, rocky, seedsman. Looking at option to get in JJ, Hall or possible Zaha (POD).
No real "need" to trade as I can cover rocky and barlow may come good.
Guess my question is when should you be using trades and for what (as a general rule), and how many do you need in the bank for the pointy end of the year?
Any help appreciated :)

Rookie question but I've seen the term scaled or pre scaled a few times. Where's the scaling come from?

3300 points to be distributed per game.

After points are allocated for stats accrued during the game the remaining points are distributed on the basis of a player's influence on the game.

Pre scaling is before they scale total points for the game up to 3300.. These pre scale scores you will see immediately post match

I know you've been answered above ^^ but for example Brodie Grundy is a player that might have been 'scaled' up (I'm not actually sure whether he was or not, but just as an example as to how you could get scaled up) in round 2. He might have got 12-15 points initially for the possession, kick and goal, but due to his influence (i.e. kicking the winning goal) he could get 'scaled' up another 10, 15, 20 points (or whatever champion data says is reasonable).

Are parish or hewett must own? its either bank the cash and downgrade to these or opt for JJ with less in the bank
Wouldn't say either are must haves with other better cash cows (i.e ben ken, Papley, Kerridge etc). Parish looks to be a solid rookie though.

Cheers for that. Are the influence points just up to who ever champion data deem worthy then?

Pretty much. As far as I know, the information on how they give the 'influence' points is not publicly available, so it may be based on actual stats or subjective.

Generally players who have scored the most pre-scale get more of the scaling. At least that's what I've noticed.

2 for me..... Really don't need to make any, but don't want to miss out on Libba or Kennedy.

B.Crouch > Libba
Gresham > Kennedy

The Crouch to Libba one I am not sure I really need to make. Crouch will come back into form shortly you would think, but Libba is doing too well to pass up on.

First thought there was Doc Reid, took me a minute to realize you meant the fast bowler. #trapforyoungplayers #brothersfromanothermother
