My issue with Burnkennedy is he has kicked multiple goals to inflate his score

Not convinced it'll continue
I did the math and if he scores 110 which is his current 2 game average he will only go up 80k in the first price changes. Would have to average 100 to make decent cash before the byes.
Played GWS and Essendon so far, both at the G. BUT plays North away then Collingwood, Richmons, St Kilda in Melb followed by Gold Coast away. Not a terrible run but not a required cash pig either.

Much prefer to upgrade Rocky or go down to Libba at worst.

Fair enough. I've said already that I have concerns about the bomber boys holding up in a young/out of shape team that'll put more pressure on them as the season goes on. I reckon you'll get good service out of Merrett in the first half of the year though. I have to get rid of Barlow and Zach's on my radar, but I doubt I'll go through with it.

Rich to a cheaper def

Barlow to a Zorko

I am strongly considering trading duggan-papley tomorrow to free up cash (and the ability to use two trades) for next week.

If I follow this course of action I will choose two of the following upgrades (pending teams):

Barlow-Zorko
Rocky-Danger/Fyfe
Rich-Laird

I feel if I don't make this trade tomorrow I could potentially open up some real headaches next week with a high probability of at least two of those players having to go. This also forces me to sideways trade to Buddy/JJ/Zaha types and a potential mid price musical chairs situation...

I think the reward warrants the risk of picking Papley after just his debut game.

Here is my team. Any advice appreciated!

Will try but been at a scotch 60th (no scotch younger than 15yrs old)
Def..
Heater Rich JJ Birch Adams Tippa Brown Dea

Danger Gaj Treloar Cripps Wines BCrouch Mills Dunk Davis Lleyton Gresham
Rucks..
Goldy Gawn Goetz
Fwds..

Barlow to BKen
Rich to Laird

Bank the savings for an early upgrade of BCrouch if required in two weeks time. Could grab any SP mid from BC with that 300k in your bank.

Depends what you call "decent cash", surely?

60 to North and Richmond, but 80-90 against the rest (not at all unreasonable with 0 goals, let alone 1)...and he'll be at high 300's rd 9/10/11.

$200k?? [While getting good scores along the way.]

Smart footballer, and we lack decent crumbing forwards - there's only really him and Garlett. Based on what I've seen with his work around the ground over the first two weeks, you can lock him away for at least one goal most weeks. Either way, he is the very definition of a cash cow now.

21 Disposals (13 kicks), 3 clearances, 3 stoppages, 1 rebound, 3 tackles, 3 inside 50's, a mark and 3 goals. You'd take that from a player < 200k any day of the week, even without the goals. Not sure you'd find many other players less than 200k with those stats. Given he's been in the system a while, he's got the fitness to maintain it too.

Even if he only scores 60 for the next three weeks in a row (which I highly doubt), he'll still make you 100k.

I reckon this too. I think you want Laird, and BKen's probably the best option. Which means he'll score 30s from here on in.

He would be 350k at round 9 but I see your point. Given me something to think about.:thumbsu:

I have: Pendlebury, Greene, Oliver, Barlow, Rockliff

I want: Dangerfield, Hall, Kennedy, Zorko, Selwood

I will assess based on selections, heat maps and remaining games.

I think my only corrective will be Oliver>Ben Kennedy, keeping faith in all my shit premiums. Hopefully Roo's makes it easy for me and drops Oliver.

I highly doubt Oliver will play next week. He looked tired and has had a big preseason. Roos won't want to burn him out.

That's what I think as well. Roo's didn't sound stoked with him post-game, saying he looked tired. Hopefully a run in the 2nd's so I can feel less guilty about a sideways-ish correctional.

I'm also on the Barlow/Rockliff bandwagon (curse those who said not to trade them last week!)

Barlow -> B. Kennedy
Rockliff -> R. Gray

Looking like my most preferred option at the moment, and would leave with me just over $325k to make a few quicker upgrade on some of the lesser cash cows. Although I do have Wingard and Oliver as well, I'd be happy enough to carry them for a week or two if need be.

Overall pretty happy with rookies this year so far, it's been premo's that I've been holding off sideways trading so far

F@ck me dead boys!

Rockliff, Barlow, Rich

Gunna be a tough week of decisions!

JJ and Hall are looking like they will fulfill the preseason hype! May have to get them in, and keep Rocky on the bench next week and grab a dropping Nat Fyfe. If Rocky doesn't play i guess his price won't move. I knew there was a reason I left $158k in the bank.

Also have Gawn, and was thinking today wouldn't mind swapping him for NicNat if he were to come out and smash it tomorrow vs Hawthorn after last weeks performance.

And of course then there's the rookies. If Papley smashes it, Gresham isn't looking fantastic to hold onto now is he!?

And talk of Clayton Oliver not being picked next week and needing a rest potentially! Wow it's a hard life!

Eagles gonna flog freo next week.

Trading barlow out -> libba in.

If Rocky is out for good gotta get rid of him before he loses too much

trading rocky out -> Gazza (i didnt get him originally cause i thought he might get injured again + the 150k i get from barlow to libba lets me nab him and leaves 60k in the bank)

Or is this terrible midnight thinking

Waiting to see what's up with Wingard, hinkley said just tightness not torn.

Have Barlow Rocky and Rich, will hold rich a bit longer he tonned up rnd 1 so has some leeway with a mulligan game.

Barlow down to Libba, Rocky up to Fyfe.
