talk about everyone jumping on the bandwagons of hill and thorton. geez, your all getting a bit over excited

thorton averaged 57 last year, even tho his role has changed, he wont be averaging anyhthing near what he's been getting.

hill has had two great games, but seriously, you wouldnt want him on your ground all year. and whats wrong with gamble.. he got 90 and is 20 grand cheaper then hill .. and pending this week (where geelong plays melbourne) im betting gamble will make more money then hill...Rioli will prob end up being the most consistant out of the lot, and will prob of made you the most $ come mid year, when your looking to 'cash in' your bench players. Also, others like lonergan will also earn a fair bit and you wont be one of the 100,000 to have got hill (and if he stuffs up, well theres a win for you)

Mate Hill will rise well over 50 K next week and most likely the following.

Gamble isn't assured a spot.

Someone make a Jack and Hill joke already...

Does anyone think Jack is a must get or is it better to keep the trade? My worst midfielders are Dyson, Griffen and Bartram and they really aren't that bad.

Is this stupid?

$28,500 in bank

OUT: Hawkins ($195,900)
IN: Hill (103,400)

Makes the bank $121,000

OUT: Lucas ($384,200)
IN: Chapman OR Johnson OR Riewoldt

My other forwards: Pavlich, Brown, Lynch, Burton, Porplyzia

Can someone please try and explain exactly how the money system works? I've done plenty of dreamteam in the past, but not for quite a few years so the whole trading system is new to me. Atm I have Gamble, Tippet and Rioli as my 3 forward rookies... Should I trade Tippet for stokes/hill so that I can get some cash when their price increases and how do you know how much they will increase?

Like will Hill go to about $250,000 at round 3 if he keeps going the way he is? Would I then sell him down to another rookie for say $100,000 and then use the spare cash to upgrade another player? I guess this is how it works, but having never seen the price changes it's hard to get an idea on how it all works. Any help would be great!

Its not that fast it will slowly tapper towards the value they average.

If Hill keeps averaging in 90 he will move towards approx $400,000 though it will take many weeks.

If hill gets another 90 he could be looking to rise to around 170K (using last years calculations) and will slowly rise weekly after this.

Looking at doing 0-2 of the following:

Spangher/Proud (if not named)
For
Pfeiffer/Taylor

McNamara (if not named)
for
Geary/Jack

Cloke (if injured)
to
Porplyzia

Happy with my team except for my last 4 forwards with Hawkins, thompson, Tippet and Hansen.

Which one should I trade to Hill?

actually cant do Hansen to Hill I fall 500$ short

So it will be one of Hawkins or Thompson to Hill. Anyone have a reason for one or another? just looking for an opinion.

Thinking i might trade N.G. Brown for Hill. This frees up a lot of cash, which i could use to trade the (injured?) drummond for the likes of someone who will perform a little better.

Only other consideration is trading Lade for Cox... I don't trust Lade to pull the big scores consistently enough this year.

I still have Reilly and I'm scoring 1900s, with Bird and Palmer to replace Reilly, why would I waste the trade, he will be back soon.

I will be trading Jetta for Hill, depends on what the teams look like on Thurs.

If you didn't start the season with Cox, as capt. you fail at DT please delist your team from whatever scrub league you're in.

Oh k well I am sitting just outside of the top 1000 starting Simmonds and Wood in the ruck with an underperforming team

I was always going to trade for Cox early on in the season when prices changed after round 3.

Im trading Stevens/Symes for Thornton
Cloke to Hill

(Next week)

Wood to Cox

Very happy with those 2 trades to get Cox and hopefully not have to trade again until round 7ish

Deledio to Hill
Gilmore to cox

if deledio scores 70 i own't be making trade currenlty 41 at half time.

Wish i hadn't traded Kennely for Newman but Kennely will bounce back next week and Bowden will play backline next week hopefully and steal all newmans possesions.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hahahhahahahhahah. Sorry, but that's pretty funny! :D

Make those trades this week, and you KNOW what's gonna happen, don't you??

let's pretend im an idiot & i don't get it. why dont you explain how in that post i explained why its a horrible trade?

No need to pretend

DT_fanatic. You were begging for that!

I certainly wouldn't say Jack is a must. If those are your worst midfielders then I couldn't justify a trade, unless your back/fwd cash rookies aren't playing. In that case you may need the funds gained from a cash cow like Jack.
