In my opinion, this is the day where our club finally stood up (forgetting the 1997-98 premierships)

After 2 and a half seasons of mediocraty, 1 man changed the crows forever and did this

Roo's chokeslam on Big Red Whitnall will always live with me as a moment where we decided we are not to be stuffed with

Who was the team this was against?

Carlton

Fast forward to now, it has come to that point of the season, where points are of the essense, and a win at all costs win is needed. Do we have someone thats capable of filling the role of "Enforcer" and send a message to the rest of the competition that we are not going to fade into the night?!?!

(ok so this thread was to say how we always seem to come up against Carlton whenever a season defining win is needed, but i may have got sidetracked)

Neil Craig will call Michael Doughty into his office.

"Michael, I want you to belt and injure as many blokes as you possibly can in this game, I want you to break Judd's leg, and Murphy's ribs, I want you to scare Gibbs so much that he squibs every contest for the rest of his career, don't worry too much about suspension, you're getting on in years and we both know your career won't last much longer, but try to do it within the rules, you're in the leadership group Michael, its time you showed it".

If it is good enough for Brisbane to use a finished player to belt opposition players, its good enough for Adelaide.

so we should get Rutten or Burton to do it then? ;)

And as so many of us know it was the Round 8 match vs. Carlton that turned our season around last year. Hey, why not do it again?

I was thinking the same thing during the week.

This is massive game, we need to physically stamp ourselves on the contest, just like Roo did during the mentioned game.

If Danger plays, I hope that everytime he goes near the ball there is a massive roar from the crowd.

Yeh good luck with this, but does it help you kick goals?
Look, you guys are obviously in a bit of trouble and we've only beaten 9thmond and generally play underperforming teams into for eg.essenscum.
I went to see you guys a couple of times last year and believed you guys like most to be a shoe-in for for the 4 this year like most pundits.
Having said all this, smash our heads in and all that but good luck for sat-nite

We have to stop their midfield this week... Schmidt and Reilly will bve very important players... I hear Jaensch is being upgraded which will be great for those wanting to see more next gen.

We lose Hentschel gain Johncock... Lose Bock gain McKernan, lose Danger (maybe) gain Jaensch is my take, lose Tippet gain Davis.

I can't imagine Tippet will play... but here's hoping...

Excuses for Porps, Knights, Burton, Vince, Maric wont be there now they have played games... Edwards, McLeod both need to remove the digit.

It appears both teams have drawn the line in the sand... this is almost like a Premiere League relegation battle to the death... I can't wait for this game!

Funny.

Crows by 20 - now p*** o**, cc.

I think it would be good for the team this year, and the club long term if Dangerfield gets a minor injury today.

Yes, it's terrible form thinking it's good to get an injury.

But if he shows to the team, to the coaches, and the fans. How to attack the ball and risk your own safety 1 WEEK! after having a major injury scare. It'll force the other players to lift to that desire for the ball, and it in turn will lift the intensity of all players within this club long term.

Short term pain to future captain = long term gain to everyone involved within the club
