I don’t like the Reeves and Meek ruck combo one bit. It’s time to shake it up.

Either Lynch or Ramsden need to be considered for the second ruck spot. They can at least take marks around the ground and kick goals.

Reeves still hasn’t taken a mark in the forward half of the ground this year, let alone registered a scoring shot. He is the only starting ruckman to average 1 mark per game.

It's the elephant in the room that Sam and co need to resolve. The third quarter and the second half this season have been awful. There's no sugar coating it. Yes, it's a young team, but at the end of the day, some pride in your personal performance should take effect, both from the players and the coaches.

That was wretched

Quite enjoyed the first half but it’s hard to take much out of it when it’s followed with that second half. It seems that once a half decent side flicks the switch to play their best footy, we fall apart entirely and have identified nothing to stop it. 3 out of 4 games this year we have dealt with unbelievable onslaughts, with the only exception being against last year’s undermanned wooden spooner.

Day was pretty good, after being great in first half. Breust actually did very well with the opportunities he got. CJ tried hard

Most others were pretty dire, some worse than others.

Anyone suggesting Jaeger O’Meara would’ve helped our cause today needs to look at how much he helped the Dockers on the weekend.

First half was a great watch. A fair way of putting 4 qtrs together. Not sure what could’ve been done in the coaches box to stem the flow

Appalling second half. Too many squibs to name. The only players to hold heads high were Day and Breust. we can’t stop a run on at all, would think Sam would have a plan B, but doesn’t seem to.

Great first half. Really enjoyed that.

Day was immense.

A few blokes need to be given a go from box hill I reckon.

Magginness can't play unless he has a role.

Connor MacDonald too fumbly and minimal defensive pressure.

Nash tries hard but needs to win more ball.

Scrimshaw unsighted.

Only saw the first half, and that was good. Really good.

Without even seeing the second half can say that’s embarrassing and there’s really no excuse for getting towelled to that extent.

I get the supply issues into D50.

But our D lines showed no resilience in that 3rd. Just too easy for the Puss.

Focus on the good of the first half. That’s the footy we’ll improve on and roll out more consistently over time. The second half is just a by-product of playing a fast, high risk style against a team who should’ve been playing that way from round 1.

So many good signs from our young players. Not concerned they were gassed out in the second half.

I think the problem we have is...saying 'we went home at half time', or the 'first half is how we want to play', ignore the fact the Cats were off it in the first quarter, and then the 2nd quarter weather made us look 'in it'. As soon as the Cats woke up and conditions improved...we got annihilated.

So where now? The only changes we can make are to switch out some youth, for more youth. Obviously, years of really hard work ahead of us as the lads grow up (physically, mentally, and as a team). Extremely disappointed in the third quarter. It's not the first time we've seen it; but certainly the worst.

But oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound.

I don’t understand why the change is so drastic.

In the first half our players are up for every fight, cracking in. Why in the second half are they unable to win a single contest? I’m not exaggerating here - it was 3 centre clearances to 14 and 21 inside 50s to 1. Inexperience shouldn’t cause that drastic a change.

Is it a mental thing? A fitness thing? Regardless, it’s something Mitchell needs to plan for. It’s happened in 3 games now.
