the last year he has been given mid field time....today he was basically half back and was back to the form we remember
Absolutely- could be a gun midfielder just needs more time in there- missed about 6 weeks pre season with a calf and played no practice games - hence taking some time to come up to speedThe last year when he was AA? He’s been half back so far this year just hit some form again.
To say he’s not a midfielders arseh*le is a bit odd
He is a mop up half back flanker and does that very well...what is odd about thatThe last year when he was AA? He’s been half back so far this year just hit some form again.

Don't be so sucking precious. We should be able to play on any surface... it's the same for both teams.Have to say , as soon as i saw the shape of the ground i knew we were going to struggle . Very narrow , also a strange shape . To me it didnt look AFL standard but thats just my opinion of course. Also both sides had to play on it .
I actually stopped watching at half time. NFI how we won, that first half was beyond putrid.
I reckon we have the potential to be decent next year. We will be middle of the road and no finals this year. Take it to bank.
Currently in horrible form. Have GWS, Dogs, and Port away. Almost guaranteed to lose all those. We are going to be 2-5, and unfortunately there are a lot of good sides. That's season over in terms of finals.
FFS just need a good run with injuries next year.
What? what sort of supporter are you to switch off at half time... where's your optimism? and the rest of your post is just nonsense.I actually stopped watching at half time. NFI how we won, that first half was beyond putrid.

He's the type that would nuke his membership in July but claim they believed all year in SeptemberWhat? what sort of supporter are you to switch off at half time... where's your optimism? and the rest of your post is just nonsense.
Lol... I am the ultimate optimist... 6 goals down wit 5 minutes to go... "com' on, we can do it"He's the type that would nuke his membership in July but claim they believed all year in September
Hahaha you and me bothLol... I am the ultimate optimist... 6 goals down wit 5 minutes to go... "com' on, we can do it"
My heart was in my mouth when he hobbled off...
Joke of a ground to play AFL football on.For everyone bagging Norwood oval as “not AFL standard” let me ask you this - were you there today ?
I was .
When the draw came out, I was annoyed that we had been drawn to play at Norwood , rather than Adelaide Oval . But let me tell you it was one of the most enjoyable days at the footy I have had in a long time.
The playing surface was immaculate- I can’t imagine a single player or coach had a problem with the playing surface .
I didn’t mind that it was a bit on the narrow side - it made watching the play in the middle and the other side easier.
As a spectator I felt closer to the action and more involved with an AFL a game than I have in years. That game would have been nowhere near as enjoyable as a spectator had it been played at Marvel.
Sure, it only holds 10,000 people and the facilities were a reminder of the 80s and 90s but this game took me back to the game I fell in love with as a kid.
No , I wouldn’t want us to play all our home games on an oval like that , but playing 1 or 2 games a year is a beautiful reminder of the suburban roots of the game.
Honestly some of you need to get off your high horses.
WTF...stopped watching but you reckon we have potential next year ...seriously give yourself a slapI actually stopped watching at half time. NFI how we won, that first half was beyond putrid.

Straight wings FFS, 10K Capacity is laughable.
Just because you were there doesn't make it AFL standard.
We should absolutely demand we play at AO next year, only half decent ground in the whole putrid state.

Funny that this is exactly what Goddard did in his first year. Had people questioning whether he was soft. Clearly wasn't. Will resolve with experience. Wilson's spatial awareness when he fumbled in D50 in the last but knew he could knock it out to a Saints player was the instinct you can't teach.Wilson has been good but he’s had a lot of “scared of contact” moments so far. At some point he might need some midfield time in the VFL so he doesn’t spend all his time marking the ball in 20m of space while he’s developing.
