Do you know that people with Tourette’s swear a lot - it’s not something they can help, it’s part of the condition.
Thats all I was referring to.

I’m not convinced we still won’t be top 6 , next month will be telling. Also vs Giants we beat them in the corresponding game last year.

Green
Hogan
Etc

Next week embrace the chaos ball imo. Any high balls they will clean up.

With most of our best on the park we are a decent and well coached team that will make the 8.With serious injuries or suspensions we are still well coached but will only beat the dross!

Ps longer term I am very optimistic - some really decent young talent with a big work ethic coming through

The last year when he was AA? He’s been half back so far this year just hit some form again.
To say he’s not a midfielders arseh*le is a bit odd
Absolutely- could be a gun midfielder just needs more time in there- missed about 6 weeks pre season with a calf and played no practice games - hence taking some time to come up to speed

Have to say , as soon as i saw the shape of the ground i knew we were going to struggle . Very narrow , also a strange shape . To me it didnt look AFL standard but thats just my opinion of course. Also both sides had to play on it .

I wasn't worried after the first quarter. I would have been more worried id the scores were reversed. We tend to play better coming from behind.Plus I wore my lucky undies today so I knew we couldn't lose

Don't be so sucking precious. We should be able to play on any surface... it's the same for both teams.

Not a great game but strong leadership to turn it around.

Things holding us back outside of personal is:
  • second ruck. We are going to kill Marshall.
  • 2nd A grade midfield to complement Steele
  • a fast small back

Our forwards need to also learn to run patterns and not compete for the same ball. Look at how the cats fwds work for each other. Need better looks at goal.

But let's be honest, the majority of the tigers goals were top shelf and we missed too many.

Oh and Stocker should play mid

I actually stopped watching at half time. NFI how we won, that first half was beyond putrid.

I reckon we have the potential to be decent next year. We will be middle of the road and no finals this year. Take it to bank.

Currently in horrible form. Have GWS, Dogs, and Port away. Almost guaranteed to lose all those. We are going to be 2-5, and unfortunately there are a lot of good sides. That's season over in terms of finals.

FFS just need a good run with injuries next year.

Mostly nonsense. 2-5 don't mean shit, ask Carlton, Sydney and GWS

What? what sort of supporter are you to switch off at half time... where's your optimism? and the rest of your post is just nonsense.

He's the type that would nuke his membership in July but claim they believed all year in September
Lol... I am the ultimate optimist... 6 goals down wit 5 minutes to go... "com' on, we can do it"

For everyone bagging Norwood oval as “not AFL standard” let me ask you this - were you there today ?
I was .
When the draw came out, I was annoyed that we had been drawn to play at Norwood , rather than Adelaide Oval . But let me tell you it was one of the most enjoyable days at the footy I have had in a long time.

The playing surface was immaculate- I can’t imagine a single player or coach had a problem with the playing surface .
I didn’t mind that it was a bit on the narrow side - it made watching the play in the middle and the other side easier.
As a spectator I felt closer to the action and more involved with an AFL a game than I have in years. That game would have been nowhere near as enjoyable as a spectator had it been played at Marvel.
Sure, it only holds 10,000 people and the facilities were a reminder of the 80s and 90s but this game took me back to the game I fell in love with as a kid.
No , I wouldn’t want us to play all our home games on an oval like that , but playing 1 or 2 games a year is a beautiful reminder of the suburban roots of the game.

Honestly some of you need to get off your high horses.
Joke of a ground to play AFL football on.

Straight wings FFS, 10K Capacity is laughable.
Just because you were there doesn't make it AFL standard.
We should absolutely demand we play at AO next year, only half decent ground in the whole putrid state.

Making season defining assessments after 4 close games is dangerous. It's not inconceivable we could be sitting 4-0 if we'd taken out chances and everyone would be talking up our top four chances.

Equally, we could quite easily be 0-4 if we'd cocked up late against the Pies and Tiges and then the 'bring back Ratts' campaign would've started up.

2-2 is a fair result for our output so far. The next 3 games against quality opponents will give us a better idea where we sit.

WTF...stopped watching but you reckon we have potential next year ...seriously give yourself a slap

The first half really showed an immature performance in transition both offensively and defensively. Early days, but really missed Henry in that space.

Underrated games from Sharman (11 contested possessions, 7 ground ball gets, 4 clearances, 2 score launches) and Owens (8 contested possessions, 5 ground ball gets, 3 goal assists and 7 score involvements).

Looked more comfortable of HB with Sincs down there. Thought Bonner’s ball use looked much better.

It’s going to be ugly viewing if a similar performance is dished up next weekend, however think Tigers don’t get as much credit as they deserve.

At this rate give us Glenelg Oval even, just not Norwood

Wilson has been good but he’s had a lot of “scared of contact” moments so far. At some point he might need some midfield time in the VFL so he doesn’t spend all his time marking the ball in 20m of space while he’s developing.
Funny that this is exactly what Goddard did in his first year. Had people questioning whether he was soft. Clearly wasn't. Will resolve with experience. Wilson's spatial awareness when he fumbled in D50 in the last but knew he could knock it out to a Saints player was the instinct you can't teach.

Where's the love for Josh Battle? That was an elite all-time game from a CHB. Dominant in the air, at ground level and on the rebound. Clearly out second best behind Steele.
