We really missed Howe when the onslaught came in the second term. Darce is a great clubman but I often feel he is not an outstanding on field leader and director. It’s something he must improve on. A cool head like Howe was needed badly.

For those keeping score, Tarryn Thomas is in trouble for using a naked shot and threatening to distribute it, Crisp in trouble for having someone do that to him. AFLW players are fine with molesting rookie players in public but Crisp isn't for doing it in private. Yeah, he's been a dickhead but by what standards can these people complain?

If a person released footage of a naked AFLW player you know who would be the subject of outrage and disgust? The creep who released the private footage. But when blokes are betrayed they are flayed by the media as dumb morons and the scum who betrayed them are either ignored or rewarded.

I remember this happened to Cloke, Swan, Del Santo and Reiwoldt. They were betrayed by someone who wanted money and got berated, called idiots and the photos were splashed all over the Women's Day and other women's magazines.

too cute at times in heavy congestion ... very evident in that 2nd quarter where we ended up butchering defensive exits

hopefully they review the decision to play crisp .... no room for sentiment here - need to be hard headed about this stuff

pleasing 2nd half fightback considering that 2nd quarter debacle .... would suggest players are listening when coaches address in-game issues

I think you’ve got that wrong.

Maybe I have. But in the heat of the game, that's what I saw. Obviously others thought he was great. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

McStay was not recruited as a ruckman… can’t understand the hate…
Cameron was performing great until he went down. Cox was great for a chop out.
Not much you can do when your 1 and 2 ruck go down.

McStay was recruited as a forward.

Good to see AJ respond well to the Robert Walls call. Gives us an extra weapon when needed. He was more than serviceable and I think won some important clearances.

He is 20 years old in his second year and just had 38 and kicked 2 goals. People on here are so harsh.

Ok, not a great surprise, expected Brisbane to be better. Our goal kicking was poor but there were so many signs that we were off tonight.

Nic Daicos had a shocker by his standards.

You havin' a laugh? Daicos must have had 35 and kicked 2. Goodness, gracious me!

Aside from that, the effort was there and we played some okay footy. Just felt Brisbane were up for it tonight and we were slightly off the pace.

A good reality check, moving on…..

It was a very predictable outcome. The week of criticism of Daniher and Hipwood. The Lions being questioned and called pretenders once again. Playing at their little fortress against a depleted and over hyped Collingwood. Colour me shocked.

Did you? So did 6 others who gave you a like. You may have more supporters. I thought Frampton was all at sea much of the time in defence. He looked like he was too intent on playing a role in a structure at the expense of being an effective defender. He wasn't alone nor helped by defenders who were meant to be keeping an eye on Cameron.

Positives:
McCreery and Bobby Hill dominated in the 1st quarter when things were going our way.
Mihocek's 3rd quarter was huge, 3 goals got us back into the game.
A Johnson showed he has a massive leap and can hold a contested mark.
Pendlebury pure class as always.
Tom Mitchell did some nice things.

I would go for J Ryan he seems more versatile than Reef.

I'm going to court unpopularity by suggesting he brought the media focus upon himself. Surely these players realise the danger of leaving online a visual insight into the seedier side of their lives?

Ah well Chin up we get a 10 day break.

Ash fought well and showed he has a great fighting spirit despite his opponent.

Bobby Hill and Naics true shining lights.

Unexpectedly quieter games from Jaicos, DeGoey, Adams, Crisp and Mitchell not ideal and timing terrible.

But - as pointed out - we win nearly all the stats. Kick straight and we win.

I feel like we’ll do better in gather round even vs a red hot saints outfit.

DeGoey and Jaicos were both serviceable / solid. They had 21 and 23 touches.

We had more scoring shots , more inside 50’s matched them in clearance, just didn’t finish off our work. Missed half a dozen sitters, mainly from one of our best kicks Elliot.

Sidebottom , Adams, Mitchell all poor tonight.

McCreery , Quaynor very fumbly.

McStay no impact. Johnson good. Noble still a worry with his ball use.

Maynard, Pendles, Mihocek pretty good returns from them.

Never easy to win up there.
