Im a fan of the Bont, just because hes a 2nd yr player doesn t mean anything, hes electric and damaging in the forward line and through the middle.. stay strong with the bontView attachment 126168 After a reasonable start to the round it's fair to say that yesterday is the ugliest Sunday i've seen since that family 'incident' of Easter '12...
An almost-donut from Wallis, a stinker from JJK (largely the midfield's fault), and an average score from Fyfe with the C coupled with my opponent having Hodge led to a league loss is Div 9 that looked certain on Saturday... To make it worse I have plummeted from 1K to around 7.5K in the overall.
I have 27 trades left and waiting to get more info on Wallis. I highly doubt I will trade him with solid bench cover (and wanting a loophole option anyway) however if it is a LTI I may consider more aggressive trades. Im crushed that I have to move on Ollie Wines... it's just bad for footy in general having kids like this on the pine...
It's not all doom and gloom. Despite having 3 LTI in Ablett/Rocky/Wines I have jagged most of the good rookies and have no need for corrective trades so I find myself with an overall increase of $660k which isn't bad at all.
So now for the trades...
Wines-Sloane looks the obvious option and might be the most popular trade this week. Having him in combination with Danger in my mids could be powerful with them usually sharing 220-230 PPG. Sloane is mr consistent although he will throw up some 80's soon and settle back to a 115ish average and potentially burn people chasing his current average of 139 which I highly doubt he will sustain.
Wines-Pendles is more of a gamble with the reports on his ankle but with Anzac day coming and Swanny very likely to get plenty of attention this has a Pendles 150+ written all over it. Currently averaging 115, proven gun, untaggable a lock for VC/C all year long as he works into the season.
With Bonts being a second year player i'm a little dubious about jumping on - especially with him already missing a game. It feels like point chasing and bound to end in tears. Does make for an interesting trade scenario though:
Wines-Bont
Wallis-Watson
Would be very aggressive (and surely will waste at least one more trade on one of these guys getting injured later!) but would make my midfield look amazing.
Another option I am considering is Wines-Buddy via Martin. Gives me time to wait on fallen premiums in the midfield before eventually throwing Gray/Dusty back where they belong. Would mean I have 5 KPF starting in Round 4.... GIDDYUP!
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
