I've been reading everyone's opinions about whether to trade/not trade Newnes.
My question is: If you have the opportunity to bring in a genuine premo for Newnes this week, would you consider it?
My current thinking,

Wines -> Bont
Newnes -> Hodge
148k in the bank

or simply

Wines -> Sloane

I'd be taking Smith over Hodge, Hodges monster score last week isn't going to happen again, and Smith seems to be on the rise.

How important do people think getting Bont this week is? I'm highly considering it but not sure at the moment

All depends on whethere you think his a keeper or not. If you think he is then yes, it's pretty important to get him in now.

Thoughts, I've got 152 in bank
Ive done Newnes upgrade to B Smith
Then Langford downgrade to Krak, play vandenburg bench Krak
leaves 331 K for 2 upgrade promos next week?

Team now looks :

I think it's important to have some balance in this argument. Bont has 45% ownership already and the dogs have a tough draw coming up, might be better to trade him in down the track.
Will find out alot about the bont over the next few weeks.

B: Shaw, Hibberd, Newnes, Saad, McIntosh, Oxley (Goodes,Brown)

M: Fyfe, Pendles, Jelwood, Griffen, Steven, Rich, NVB, CEY (Heeney, AVB, Lambert)

R: Goldstein, TBC (Read)

F: Swan, Martin, Franklin Bont, Salem, Hogan (Clark, Lonie)

27 trades left, $279,700 in the bank

Really want to get Sloane into my side, potentially gets me more points, and with the Crows great run, a C option, so am thinking:

Griffen> Sloane

Thoughts?

If you haven't seen the improvement of Bonts from mid 2014 to now, well you haven't been watching close enough.

BE -18, 422k, ave 106 over last 5 games, ability to punch out solid 120+ scores, and people are wondering wether to get him now or later.

Ignore him at your peril

Still got cash from GAJ last week, but for me it's Bartel > Swan. Saving up even more cash to get Robbie Gray when he bottoms out in a couple of weeks. And aim for JPK a few weeks after that.

Griffen> Sloane

Thoughts?

Sloane looks the goods this year, but that is a pretty sideways trade. Personally I'd back Griffin in to come good and be a decent POD.

Wines to Sloane is by far the best.

Trading Newnes to Hodge is a losing strategy. Probably on the weekend Newnes will go 120 and Hodge 80. You've missed his once in a career 177 all you're doing is buying him at an inflated price.

Would be better to wait another week for Krakouer just in case he spuds it this week. Langfords not going to lose too much cash. Think you would be better being patient with your upgrades - who will you be cashing in to do your 2 upgrades. Odds will be they will still have money to make beyond next week

Not trading this week (don't have Bartel, Wallis etc), waiting for cash cows to fatten; looking at Newton to Krak next week.
Also interested in bringing in Roughead
