Thanks heaps for the replies and advice guys.

My team is pretty stuffed with cash gen on the bench, as you can see from my team below I have 4 non playing rooks on the bench, although hoping bergman gets a run next week.

I can't see any other way to get chapman in without sacrificing a playing rookie still making cash, but i don't really want to miss the boat on chapman either.

I could do what AB suggested, and get both parks and chapman, but don't like the idea of burning the extra trade but may need to be done.

Only other option really is sharp > parks

I'm in the exact same position with D6-D8 and kicking myself for not saving some cash for rookie adjustments.
Going to bite the bullet and use 2 trades for Sharp>Parks and Kosi>Chappy.
Rate Chappy's JS and figure Parks is far more likely to play 5/6 games than Sharp

Went Hunter to Grundy and Phillips to Lyons

Was gonna keep Phillips but like Caldwell they didnt/most likely wont work out and I would have been better off with a premo and Errol. So far Ive only improved my cash gen and team in general with four trades so can't complain.

my rucks are gawn flynn draper

i was planning on draper>treacy and getting marshall next week and switch treacy to fwd bench, ive made 4 trades so far inc 1 this week.

with flynn out is it wiser to take the donut than kneejerk flynn to treacy given drapers locked until next week ?

I personally wouldn't be trading out Flynn he will still play plenty of games and has heaps of cash to make. You might have to wear a donut unfortunately.

I may need to do the same trades as you mate.

I didnt exactly anticipate Chapman to turn out to be a must have, after his 42 in the first game but with Young now out his JS is obviously better but also scoring potential.

Don't know much about parks, but at worst it will free up 15k from sharp.

So after waiting for teams and comparing my cashie opponent, he has Kosi, Lachie Young and Highmore in defence and is copping a donut.

Was tossing up whether to go Zilliams down to Chapman or up to Bowes, and I think the smart play is to go to Chapman and use the funds to upgrade Kosi next week via JClark (D6) to a premium mid, pushing Chappy to D7..

Sound good?

Are you playing for league or overall?

If league and you think you'll win, hold and see if he's in next week.

If overall, depends on whether you can spare the trade. How many do you have left? If he's out for one week it's probably not worth the trade.

OK, teams are out for Sunday...I need a defender now Kozi is is out. was going to Chapman via Dow via DPP but now thinking of a straight swap for Kozi.....Logic is don't trade a warm body (especially one the coach loves, proven by still being in the side after the last putrid effort) when another guy has been "managed" by Clarko.
I get the hate on Dow, but now thinking to give him one more chance...

If Dow does the usual rubbish, easy trade out next week to Waterman (via DPP)

Is Chapman staying in the Freo side though?

You're only missing out on a >50 score without Koschitzke. Might be better to wear the donut and see how Parks goes?

I thought the collective wisdom was that Chapman would stay in and score well with Young (or whoever it was) out? Like all of my supercoach decisions I'm just going with some random posts I've read and I'm easily swayed either way.

I'm not actually copping a donut because I have Butts anyway, I was just going off the vibe it was a team improving trade. I could sit it out if there are greener pastures coming (like my boy the manchild Jones).

I've kept Dow for one more week but I had Bruhn to trade OUT. Kosi should get plenty of games but doesn't look like scoring that well so I'd trade him over Dow
