Looking for points...plenty of cash
Other than Marshall, the obvious weak spots are having Durdin and Gibcus on the ground.

I'd be looking to change that if the goal is increasing points.

I don't mind the Bowey idea, but Baldwin for Heeney or some such could also be an option. That way he's not trading off Gibcus' potential cash gen.

is it worth bringing in skinner and noddy this week if theyre named??
Skinner definitely not. NOD is more arguable. Didn't do much on the weekend. Think Hough would be a safer bet, although still not necessarily safe.

OK guys...thanks already...I can see the point of showing the team to generate the best ideas.

Left field...Baldwin out (I agree, not worth keeping), move Brodie to Forward (sub off Durdin) and trade in Shiel...
Sounds weird but Shiel has two 100's, with Merret out for a while....Moving Durdin off field should be a points (and $) winner.

Do we hate this, or is it a goer?

i see the appeal in bringing in shiel. i just don't think many others do. seems like hes burnt many before.

The trick will be to do
2 down 1 up one week and keep enough cash so that you can go
2 up 1 down the following week.
That would give a maximum of 12 upgrades between round 7-14
No one will get that (most wont need that many upgrades.)
I think 10 is doable pretty easily.
Saving trades now is the key.

Interesting how people have differing views and who knows which is right or wrong

I am personally going a different method and we shall see how i end up , I could bomb out and fail miserably or my gamble cold pay off and i will have enogh cash to keep upgrading with 1 up 1 down from round 7 onwards.

Currently have 27 trades left after doing my 2nd trade boost (intending to use 2 more during bye weeks and last just before finals)
getting in the best cash cows and happy for them to keep growing but amending premo's (i thought at the start) . Going High Risk to end up winning my league's if it works and setting up the highest score in my league somewhere along the way. I believe i have 13-15 players that will be part of my end team already in the team.

Round 3 Rank - 58,110(Top 36%)
Team Value Round 3 $10,984,400
Total Score 6,528

Happy to finish top 10,000 in rankings but who knows. I have 27 trades left & $324,100 in the bank

Not intending to trade for the next 3 weeks now unless major injuries or a Must have Rookie appears to generate cash
I have faith in stephens , Rachelle & Gibcus to pllay another 5 games before the bye rounds and improve their value

Im sure most will think im mad

Thinking an aggressive 3 trades this week.
Out: Grundy, Berry, Rachele
In: English, Green, NMartin

Im sure Rachele and Berry both have plenty of cash to make, but i think ill cull them early.
If Preuss tons up again this week, then he looks to be a must have on field rookie. Grundy's BE is 160, so expect to drop in cash this week, bringing English in for him makes sense. Can swing English Fwd the following week and bring Preuss in on field.
That cash from Rachele-Martin & Grundy-English allows me to bring in Green from Berry.

A lot of sideways movements, but equally, one premo out, two premo's in.
On field rookies/cheapies would then be
McCartin (looping with SDK)
Brodie Daicos
Pruess
Xerri Martin

Allow Hall's price to drop from his 70 and target him in a few weeks and get him on for McCartin.

Good gear, fellas, really polished and the info about the midfield set-ups was bloody interesting m, as well as the Heeney analysis etc. in the post rd 2 podcast 👍
No flies on you blokes, should have tuned in earlier 👍

Anyone thinking of trading in Bowey even after his initial price rise?

At $328,300 (+$62,700) he has risen drastically already but looking at his scoring history, he could feasibly rise up to that $450,000 - $480,000 mark.

Projected to rise another $57k this week, $400k+ by round 6 projected......

Is currently 3rd ranked (Still) cash cow, so yes regardless of his first price rise he has more "mooing" to go!

Will mean my defence would be close to settled if it comes to fruition (D1 - 6 of Short, Ridley, Sic, Hewitt, Hinge, Bowey - McCartin, NOD)

I want to like it

Fellas looking for some advice. Feel like I need Cripps/Green as their current value is just too good. Any ideas who to trade to get them in? Haven't used any trades yet. 2nd year playing so if there's any other advice, let me know, cheers

May I ask what you have used your 8 trades on so far?

Cripps - sure. But I don't think you 'need' Green. He is good value atm in terms of BE, but he didn't even average 80 last year, so it's arguably still unlikely he can maintain a 110+ avg which you need at his price.

As for how to get Cripps, that's far more complicated. The only avenue to get him that I can see is downgrading Crisp to Bowey and upgrading Berry to Cripps.

And it's borderline as to whether that's worth it. It'd be down to how much you think Cripps and Bowey can outscore Crisp and Berry by.

Not mad.
8 trades is just way to many to have used.
I suggest holding.

I’d say it’s more important to get one of the 3 fwd rookies off field than Cripps/Green. Xerri? If you’re set on trading those in then Berry.

Im trading him in. In hindsight i wish i got him last round instead of Hall but i think he will still make enough cash to justify the trade
