Coburg have more men in defence, outnumber us 3-1, kick into the midfield, where they outnumber us 5-3, and then rush it forward where they outnumber us 4-3.

Are we playing men short?

Jeka seems to have gone backwards this year. Was attacking the ball and using his athleticism in the matches I saw last season, this year he seems to be playing behind and getting out bodied.

The tools are definitely there, just needs to put them all together

Bramble came on in the second quarter and was good. His contested work and defensive efforts are surprisingly good for an outside player.
Butler remains very clean at ground level and very good with defensive efforts. Few missed kicks but they weren't howlers.
Liking Seamus in the new role but it's a tough position to break into.
Callow might not be a ruck but I think he's capable enough to ruck in the forward 50, similar to Hawkins. Spent a lot of this game rucking.

Jeka looks slow to react and slow to recover. Hope he can turn it around.
Unless he is injured, his progress seems to have stalled.

I hope Proc and Mitch really challenge him. He has talent, just not the heart. Can see why he slipped to the rookie draft. Such a shame to lose untapped talent.

You would think this maybe his last chance to break through before the end of 2022.

Bramble look good in his return.

DBR our new ruck looked spent in the second qtr. First VFL game for us, understandable!

Howes looked ok in the contested. An Long, Mitchell and Butler have had moments in the game. Callow working hard around the ground.

Were missing Greenes forward work.
