If its wet and sloppy as some predict it will be an interesting game as that should slow the Pies pace and work to our advantage but we also have a heavy marking backline, I dont know what happens if they are dropping marks. Wilkie and Battle intercept game is elite and we might lose that to a degree.

That would make it a huge game for Sinclair, Paton and Stocker at ground level.

Moving the ball forward I hope we stick to our guns with a little run and carry and short kick and run on style of game.

Windhager to put the clamps on Daicos.

Saint beaten

Freo going really bad at home (Marvel)

Bulldogs when going really bad at Saints home ground (Marvel)

Essendon like dogs rubbish and Saint struggled late then even eventually kick a few late ( lucky some )

GC on their home ground again ! (Marvel)”

Gee they’re an educated lot. With that logic I can’t see how we get within 12 goals of them

People are still writing us off and saying we haven't beaten any quality sides yet but if we beat Collingwood they will have to sit up and take notice then.

I think we are a decent chance, Collingwood didn't look that great against Brisbane and Marshall should dominate against the spud they play on him.

I don't think we will get any of our best 22 players back for this game so the only change will probably be replacing Bytel as the sub, not sure who with.
Haven’t beaten any quality sides? You can’t beat yourself so what do they expect?

Using that logic, they've only beaten a winless Geelong, a rubbish Richmond and an okay Port on their home deck.

Windy to Daicos for the Tim Kelly special. “Team defence” approach isn’t curbing the kids ridiculous impact, and we know Windy can find plenty himself running with someone. Think this will be crucial, head off the snake.

I like our defence against the Pies forward line.
Midfield battle will be a beauty.
Pies backline is very good, but we should hold them accountable with our current small/mobile crew.

Why not?

"dogs when going really bad" - it was the 2nd game of the season and they played the Demons round 1. They then won the next 2 against Brisbane and Richmond. We made them look bad lol lets also overlook 2 50points wins, and dropping gears in the last 10 minutes against Bombers when we were 30 up

And got flogged by a really ordinary Brisbane side. I think the garbage lid might be about to fall right off.

As great as this game would be with 80k at the G, it being played on a neutral ground without the Collingwood crowd plays into our hand. Should be a good contest.

I'd send Windy to Daicos. Shutting him down is the key to stopping their ball movement and Windy's got the concentration and tank to trouble him.
Good call on Windy v Daicos.

Over to you Ross, lock that match up in and prime our boy all week for it.

Pies got smashed on transition by Brisbane on the weekend. -43 points. As of last week we’re the best at transitioning the ball since Geelong in 2009 and we’re probably the current best team at defending transition.

Augurs well.

It's like a complete contrast of styles. Pies with their beautiful flowing ball-movement and attacking prowess against our disciplined team-defence game.

Playing down our victories is what helps them sleep at night.

Been excited to see how they’d go against our system for a few weeks now. The weather conditions might have a sizeable say though.
